Summary
The summer of 1998 was one of the most exciting that Rosie Harper had ever known. She was dating the lead singer of “The Swallows” so her life was all about wild parties and having fun. When Rosie suddenly vanished suspicion immediately fell on Chris Swallow who then disappeared from the limelight. When DCI Jack West finds out that a dead hoarder has been identified as Chris he uses it as an opportunity to re-open Rosie’s cold case. In the meantime, her sister, Laura, has never given up hope of finding out what happened to her big sister. With the help of her shady friend, Ray, she decides it's time to find out the truth. Everybody seems to have a secret to hide, but who is willing to kill to keep it buried?

Great listen
this was an entertaining story. it is a slow burn but you can see why it is necessary for the plot and the twists and turns. I really wanted to find out what happened, I haven't been that engaged for ages.
the narration worked. it is a really good partnership. the sound effects were interesting and added another dimension to the narration I especially liked the guitar it really added and suited the story

Another excellent book by Molly Garcia,
Even though Ray is a bad boy you can't help but like his character. brilliant sounds effects, actually thought someone was ringing my doorbell 😂 .
Grant Love is amazing as the Narrator, his voice is easy on the ears and I actually like his twang .
I definitely recommend this book. Great storyline.

Loved the narration of Grant Love, who brings the past and present alive in your ears. Making this a great mystery for your ears.
Due her relationship with the lead singer of "The Swallow", Rosie Harper's life had been full of wild parties and excitement, But when Rosie disappears, suspicion falls onto Chris Swallow, who vanishes from the limelight as well.
Years when DCI Jack West finds out that a dead hoarder has been identified as Chris Swallow, takes the opportunity to re-open Rosie’s cold case.
Rosie's sister, Laura, has never given up hope of finding out what happened to her big sister. Did Rosie just up and leave or was she murdered.
This book has the right amount of suspense and mystery to keep you guessing till the end.

Summer of Swallows
Another 5 star listen from Molly Garcia, narrated by Grant Love who brings the story to life with his many voices and dramatic music and sound effects. I was drawn in to the story from the very first chapter and with a wealth of well developed characters and believable scenario's for the time [late 1980's[ to start off and then 20 years on it was a gripping read. Highly Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.
