About this listen
Death brought him home, will love keep him there?
Agent Adam Klay is home to bury his father, not to fall in love. Improbably, it fell into his lap.
Micah Ryan's been running on remote since his family died; the arrival of Adam Klay brings to life feelings Micah never thought he'd feel again.
A series of ominous events force Adam to face his feelings, can he protect Micah from a killer's crosshairs without losing his heart?
Storm Season is a dual POV about a terminally grouchy Federal Agent who discovers his softer side and a sweet man who thought he had nothing to live for. The Accidental Roots series follows a different couple in each book as they try to stop killers and unravel a human trafficking ring.

Adam and Michah 💚💙
Coming back to his home town not so happily, Adam meets Micah. A sweet guy who’s attracted to the brooding officer. There is a mistery to solve and Micah is thrown in the middle of it all. Danger, mistery, local crime, angst, and a hot romance. The journey to be together is not easy but Adam has great friends with opportune advise. I enjoyed listening to this story. Great narration from Mr Gallagher.

Great start to the series
An eventful, scene setting opening story. I loved Adam and Micah - both have been hurt but this story allows them to come together and begin to heal. There was humour and pathos in this book. They got their HEA but the over-arching mystery is just beginning!
I thought the narrator was good - he had a smooth delivery that was easy to listen to and the characters were clearly delineated. I am looking forward to listening to the other books in this series.

I enjoyed the story
I liked the story line for this book. The relationship between Adam and Micah was a slow burn for the love but in the end it conquered.
The narrator was OK.. At times I just couldn't distinguish who the character was.
But overall, I enjoyed the book and recommend it.

Good start to the series...
4 Stars!
This is Elle Keaton's first book and it kind of shows. The flow is off and the book feels, well, jumpy. I had to pause and rewind a couple of times until I realized it wasn't that I had missed something, but that the scene had ended and another had started.
I found to be Micah adorably clumsy, at least at first, since he got over that once he and Adam got together. Adam was gruff and serious (and emotionally stunted and quick to jump to conclusions, which made me want to throttle him more than once *sighs), but with a teddy bear core where Micah was concerned most of the time. They had a lot of chemistry and seemed to fit together, mostly because Micah was an angel and was really patient with Adam.
The mystery plotline was a bit choppy, but still intriguing enough to keep me interested and while the procedural part needed some work, it definitely showed a lot of potential and I'm very intrigued over how it will play out in the next books in the series. Nick Gallagher's voice made the overall experience more enjoyable, his pacing and the way he brought the story to life were really good and I will definitely be on the lookout for more audiobooks narrated by him.
Recommendable!

Thrilling and steamy
I really enjoyed this adventure. A somewhat twisted case mixed up in his childhood town, Adam starts to uncover the secrets and dangers of his town.
I enjoyed adorable, awkward and clumsy Micah and liked seeing him grow into himself and his confidence.
The case isn't closed but great headway is made and I hope to see more of Adam and Micah in book 2. I felt like there was many thoughts, cases and paths created in this first story and I hope they are all unraveled in the future books.
Enjoyable narration by Nick. I look forward to hearing more from him.

Painful
The narration sounds like it was recorded in a barn; there is a strange echo and unsettling distance. The MCs are so unrealistically awkward in their actions and mannerisms it makes the story grinding on the nerves, as the clumsiness is just continually reiterated with no end in sight. The single narrator makes no effort to give each character a "voice", and as his voice is so hard to listen to, I had no option but to give up before the first hour was up. PAINFUL
