Summary
Alcohol is an intense, addicting poison that will slowly eat away at you.
The struggle with alcohol is one that’s seemingly never-ending.
My journey to going alcohol-free started with the day I was told that I had 48 hours left to live due to consumption.
You may know that too much of anything isn’t good for you, but there’s nothing good about alcohol. It’s a silent killer, perpetuated by society as a fun, lighthearted action. How much about alcohol do you really know?
It’s time you cut ties with alcohol for good, because it’ll save your sanity and might just save your life.

Brilliant audiobook and not just for alcoholics
I’m not an alcoholic but I do feel I drink too much. I always do dry Jan but the rest of the year, I do drink a few days a week and a lot of it is cultural. Being British, drinking is a huge part of our culture as a social event. It’s the one drug that if you don’t do it, you are the odd one. This audiobook has helped to make me realise how ludicrous that concept is. The facts about liver disease are enough to make you want to stop. It is the start of my journey for sure but I feel like I’ve turned a corner in my way of thinking about alcohol. I like how the narrator is also British as I found it easy to relate to.

Insightful
I downloaded this audiobook as I'm worried about a relative and their drinking habits. I'm now seriously considering joining the zero alcohol revolution as I feel my life would be so much better without it! Really insightful and would recommend.

strong takeaway!
Key points I took away from this book:
-forget what others think about you not drinking
-everything in moderation may not apply to alcohol (even small amounts of alcohol can contribute to your diminishing health)
-you might be unaware about your poorly functioning liver
worth the listen if you are trying to reduce or quit alcohol completely

Worth a listen
This book provided great information on something I think most of us overlook. A lot of us may be addicted and not even realize it, you don't have to be a blackout drunk to be addicted. The effects on your body and overall health take a hit with poor drinking habits. After listening to this I am definitely considering going with the zero alcohol revolution, honestly drinking has lost it's luster anyways and you need to get over what others think of you not drinking. Worth a listen for sure!

Away from alcohol!
This audiobook not simply telling you to get away from alcohol. Instead, it introduces alcohol culture first and slowly tells us how alcohol can harm our livers. No matter what reasons we drink, there are so many other healthy habits to help us for better sleep or stress relief. I like the mindset in this audiobook which helps the alcoholics to aware of what they are facing and how they can live better specifically. Doable and practical!

It is Amazing how one can be an alcoholic
Thanks 🙏 you so much for this in-depth book.
It is as so surprising how one can be having an addiction to alcohol without even knowing. You have added to my happiness and other ways to solve my issues rather than resorting to alcohol. I am so glad l listened all through the book.

Honest and practical!
I really enjoyed listening and relating to the personal story of Philip Roberts in this audiobook. He provided practical tips to overcome one of the hardest addiction battles, and knowing someone personally, that struggles with alcoholism, I felt that the importance of mindset and control really resonated with what they find difficult. I'm looking forward to applying some of the techniques suggested in this audiobook with them.
