Summary

Jon Porter works with his ex-wife and ex-best friend in the sleepy vacation town of Stone Lake. He toils to keep their construction company afloat while the exes in his life enjoy their honeymoon.

Jon meets Morgan when a flock of turkeys and a curvy mountain road aligns with one-in-a-million timing. Despite their attraction, her engagement, and the ire of her family, the pair embarks on a platonic friendship. As their relationship strengthens, they share secrets, but Morgan holds her most important secret tight to her chest, where it beats like a ticking time bomb.

It’s not a matter of if, but when.

Excellent listen, yet another awesome book

Jon lives a simple life, happy with his job and comfortable with his simple needs, then she bumps into him and nothing will be the same again.

Morgan is beautiful and cleaver and broken and troubled.

Meeting each other and taking the time to find the joy in another's company, is that enough? Can everything really be okay or is someone hiding a secret?

In typical Phil M Williams fashion, he takes what you think will be a simple story and throws in twists and turns so you don't know what to expect, coupled with characters who get under your skin and whom you really care about.

Will the secrets come into the light, will they find their happy ever after, will love overcome. You'll need to read this excellent book to find out.

Another awesome listen!

I have learned that when reading a fill M Williams book one to make sure I have time to listen into to make sure I won’t be interrupted. Although I am usually sitting on the edge of my seat I found this want to be a little more relaxed but just as enjoyable. John Porter is a high end landscaper Who made the beautiful Morgan who is engaged a to Dave, a daughter of wealth, a Georgetown student and is in need of a friend and this is what she tells John Porter upon their meeting and he agrees that yes they can be just friends. Eventually they become more than that but she has a secret and it’s a doozy. I don’t want to say more as I don’t want to give the plot away and I don’t want to give out any secrets but I enjoyed reading the book just like all of Mr. Williams books there’s a lot more to the book than what I’ve said and it is so worth the read. I know I want to say that the narration was awesome, but that is like saying the sky is blue these narrators always do an awesome job and I feel like me saying that is only important if you haven’t heard them and if you haven’t you’re in for a treat it is so freaking awesome… Oh yes I said that.
