About this listen
Watch out for the Assassin’s Claws....
Gifflet “Gib” Moreno is a paid killer, just like his four brothers. It’s the family business - they fight together, they die together. Whether they’re working as a group or alone, they are a tight unit who protect their own.
As the introverted brother who’s known for watching from the shadows and listening more than he talks, Gib is the one sent on a discrete assignment. His mission: Follow a blackmarket importer, learn what he knows about the plot afoot to reveal the secret existence of shifters...then kill him.
HRH Darius Aurea, prince of the island nation of Aurelia is in town to do what he does best: Party. The last thing he expects is to have a blast from his past show up with claims that he has a son. And that his alleged son has been kidnapped.
A bungled rescue attempt finds Darius also imprisoned and it falls on Gib to save the day. Not only the day, but also his...mate? The stealthy assassin is far from thrilled to find his true mate is someone as loud and well-known as HRH Prince Partypants.
This is the second book in the Assassin’s Claws series. Note: While mpreg exists in this world, we won’t have a birth in every book. This book contains killer cats, ninja bunnies and a spoiled prince who’ll need to alpha up if he wants to keep his man. Get ready for naughty-knotty fun and low-ball humor as only Susi Hawke can provide.

The quiet ones...
Gib is an assassin for pay. Quiet and an observer. As an omega he gets cuddled and he doesn’t like it. When he meets his Alpha, he is not happy. Prince Darius, who is a party boy, runs into him in a mission. Then he becomes the mission... I think Darius was a bit uncaring... and self absorbed but loving and capable of change. Sasha is an awfully sweet and funny character. I laughed out loud with his innocent comments. Gib surprised me with his decisions towards his mate and family. Enjoyable listen! 🎧

Worth a listen!
Stand Out is truly a standout for Obi! His narration pushes his talents and he proves that he is capable of creating an enjoyable narrative. Hawke's witty banter and gifted writing style shine through. Gib and Darius are the perfectly mismatched odd couple!

as great as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Great follow up
This story was a great continuation of the series. Gib is such an in control omega, it was great so see him slightly ruffled once he met his mate.

Good continuation of the series
The story continues from book 1 but can be listened to on its own merit.
The story is fun, with action, humour and some serious moments. Gib and Darius make a good couple.
As usual, Kenneth Obi provides an enjoyable performance. I enjoyed listening to him as he brought the characters to life.
A good way to experience the story ❤
