About this listen

Quit defending Christianity. Author Carl Medearis is not interested in keeping Christianity alive. Not one bit. Carl believes it has grown into something that is rarely attractive, frequently divisive, and all too often embarrassing. He believes you may feel this way too. In his new audiobook, Speaking of Jesus, Carl gives us a wink and a grin and the permission to stop feeding this thing called Christianity. His offer is that doing so allows us the freedom to relax and feast on Jesus.

So helpful

I'm really enjoying this author. It's the 2nd book I've listened to and will purchase the paperback as well. Definitely one to reread.

Break down your walls and share Jesus.

Would you listen to Speaking of Jesus again? Why?

Yes. I will certainly listen to certain portions of the book again.

What other book might you compare Speaking of Jesus to, and why?

It's similar to Carl's first book, but not focused on a certain people and much more talk of how to share Jesus.

What does Jim Sanders bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

He adds some nice little touches, like pauses, hesitations and laughs.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Passion to share Jesus and deeper love for him.

Any additional comments?

Great book. Will help you be excited to share Jesus and makes it much simpler!

Inspiring, thought provoking and sobering

Great book. Challenging, inspiring, thought provoking and a sobering read. Bigs up Jesus but holds an uncomfortable mirror up at “Christianity”.
