About this listen
From Afghanistan's Hindu Kush peaks and sunbaked Helmand Valley to Baghdad, Mosul and Ramadi in Iraq, American snipers have braved heart-pounding situations to hit their human targets dead-on. Few military feats stir the imagination like the image of a pair of riflemen waiting quietly in a building, a bomb crater, or a mountain pass for a Taliban or Al Qaeda fighter to walk into their crosshairs. Sniper presents real-life tales from the military's frontline snipers---their hits and their misses, the anguish of loss, and the anxiety of the first kill. Authors Gina Cavallaro and Matt Larsen provide riveting accounts of American soldiers and marines on the battlefield, and take a rare look at how Rangers and Special Forces snipers train and operate, and how the war on terror has changed the role of military snipers.

Hopeful, interesting, inspiring
I began this book a few weeks ago. Although it was a book that immediately took my interest I feared for what it may contain.
This is a book that stands being listen to time and again. It is so full of information.
The calm way in which these men and woman go about their job. Their 6th sense and brotherhood is simply a wonder. These people are well above the average.
I like to listen to books that are taken from reality about real men and woman going about their daily lives. Their hopes, fears, dreams, pains and thoughts.
This book has it all. If you want entertainment well this might not be for you. But I would recommend it.

Everything you wanted to know about being a sniper
Let me begin by saying this is a very interesting book all about sniper missions in the Middle East conflict zones. The book itself wins the 4 stars.
There are two narrators who if they read the book in their normal accents would've made it 5 stars. But the female narrator's regional american accents were poor but I burst into fits of laughter in the car listening to her Irish accent! It was the funniest thing I'd heard in ages.
Overall a good book though.

Let down by the narrator’s tone
An interesting account that was let down by the narrator’s fake accent.. I enjoy an audible book that has a realistic narrator, but this attempt was comical and detracted from what was an interesting account. Worthwhile read if you can cope with the accent throughout!

Wrong reader for me
Unfortunately whilst the content of this book is clearly very good I cannot continue to listen to it due the female readers timbre of voice method of reading. Attempting to drop in and out of poor local style accents made it even worse.
Sorry not for me.
