The tools to take control
We all know what we need to do life in order to loose weight, be alert, on time & be fit etc but this book gives you the tools to change your mindset in order to achieve such goals and ambitions.
It shows how you can make little changes bit by bit and how they will result in positive outcomes.
A very inspiring well narrated audiobook that everyone could take something from.

Get the most out of life
This is a fantastic audio book . It shows you how to control your mind with your thoughts and how your mind will spur you on with the will power to get things done . It will show you ways of when you need to say no to people . And it will show you how to motivate you to get things done that you set out to do .n
Before you know it your mind and life will be on track to improve your life .
Cliff the narrator was good . It was my first time listening to him. His voice is smooth and strong

Time Well Spent
Three hours and four minutes of excellent advice told in a clear and concise manner. So many of these 'self help' books are mostly filler with good advice hidden between mounds of waffle, not here. The narration is engaging and adds life to the text keeping one interested and attentive from start to finish.

Simple, easy concepts; good place to start
This little self-help book is a decent place to start if you're just lost about how to wrestle yourself into some self-discipline. The book lays out some basic concepts, like tackling one task at a time, take on meditation, treat yourself well, etc. Then the book goes on to give you examples of how to carry out each of those ideas.
My main complaint is that the book blurb over sells the book, promising too much. This is a short self-help book and I don't feel it can be comprehensive. Self-discipline is a subtle skills with many ways to get distracted, etc. It seems it would take far longer than 3 hours to cover all the issues with this subject. This sentence in particular is over-promising: This guide packs all the information you need to be able to become more disciplined in all your endeavors, to reach your goals, and help you make the most out of every opportunity that comes your way.
So, yeah, this book is a decent place to start, or maybe you just need a little motivational bump, but it won't solve all your self- discipline problems. 4/5 stars
The Narration: Cliff Weldon has a very pleasant voice to listen to. He does start off a little hesitant, with a few odd pauses here or there. But this soon smooths out and by the half-way point he sounds like a professional motivational speaker. His pacing was good and I felt he was invested in the subject, never sounding bored. There were no technical issues with the recording. 4.5/5 stars.

A balanced, rounded, introduction to willpower
As someone who seeks to reduce their tendency to procrastinate I was interested in the themes of Self Discipline explored in this book, and how to improve my own. The ability to say "no" to people, and to increase my decisiveness were also skills I hoped this book would help me begin to master. This book covers sleep, diet, mindfulness and relaxation, motivation, expectations, willpower, and more.
I found the section on sleep and diet particularly interesting. I think it's really important that we think of ourselves as a whole, and don't expect to be able to increase our concentration or self discipline if our energy is low because we're neither resting nor refuelling sufficiently. These changes are often impractical for anyone whose medical issues complicate the ability to regulate them, but most of the population can pick and choose the tips for wellbeing that are appropriate for themselves.
I found the most useful chapters were those on discovering one's own motivating factors, and the strategies to help overcome individual weaknesses (procrastination in my case,) by developing personal strengths that will aid willpower. Those sections reminded me of The Five Love Languages, and how they encourage individuals to understand their own needs and drives in order to find fulfillment.
I liked narrator Cliff Weldon's voice but his narration was often very stilted which made it more challenging to listen to and requiring a greater degree of conversation. (Almost like someone reading from an autocue or on a screen that was too small.) I did love the character in his voice, though, and would like to see how he does with fiction, as I think he would be a much more engaging narrator of a story than a guide.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is hoping to increase their willpower and self-discipline, and wishes to integrate the techniques into all the key areas of their life.
