About this listen
Throughout history, The Lady, Goddess of the Lycan world, has gifted werewolf packs with humans who carry her mark. Theodora Morrissey's plans to return to college for her graduate degree are ended when she is awakened by an otherworldly voice on a rarely used airstrip in Nebraska. Injured and disoriented, she has no idea the discoloration on her back has marked her as a Seer, and that she is now a possession - and the prisoner-of the Novus Pack of Lycans.
To the Novus pack, the word of their leader, their Laird, is the law. With compelling gray eyes and long dark hair, Raider Black rules his pack with intelligence and ruthlessness. To cement the security of his pack, Black has committed to mate another Packleader's daughter. But he's finding it impossible to fight his attraction to the pack's alluring new Seer, claiming her as his own.
Sweet, fearless, and unintentionally funny, Theo upends Black's world and pushes the boundaries of his rules. How far is Black willing to go, and what will he sacrifice, to save both his pack and the human Seer who's found a way not only into his bed, but his heart?
Contains mature themes.

Not bad
So, reading the other reviews of this book, they did tend to put me off, but it was free so what the hell! After reading the book I can say I did enjoy it, but have listened to better. The Narrator was much better in the other books he has done namely the Inferno Rising series by Abigail Owen. In this book he should have left the Scottish accent alone. Lots of comments about abuse and the BDSM angle, but to be honest, she was given a choice....she did not have to go there, he wanted to walk away an go and fight something or someone and then something else.....She was having none of it...He said he was scared what his wolf would do to her, she said she was not scared of his wolf, so no I disagree with those reviews. ( I am talking about the end chapters.) Main problem for me was I felt the heroine was just too accepting of her situation, she seemed to understand and accept what happened to her far to quickly. But I would like to read book 2 , if there is one.

Good
It is a bit steamy, but it was an ok read. recommend if you're lnto the wolves alpha submissive role play.
For me, it was a bit wattpad. The female lead could do with a massive character development. However, this is book 1, so hopefully, there's greater improvement to come.

Not bad
This was a bit different from the usual werewolf story, but I found the narration a bit annoying. Is Connell meant to be Scottish or Irish? I think probably Scottish, considering the story background, but the actors need to sort their accents out!

interesting and complex
great narrator -good accents and clear differentiation between characters. Different take on classic werewolf story. Doesn't back away from emotional impact.

Not for me
Sorry but this wasn’t for me, I didn’t like the pure ownership of the relationship, if you could call it that. She literally had no choice, not even a bit of push and pull, it was more like a modern kidnapping made to be sexy but it didn’t work at all, and unfortunately the narrators didn’t help you full in love with them either, maybe if the narrators sounded a little bit sexy and she had a bit more choice then I could see it working and enjoying the characters more. Sorry 😞

I liked it but …
I think the story has promise if in the next book the heroine gets a backbone. The narration is good for the female but the male unfortunately is dreary.
Will I get the next book in the series probably.

Good story but male narrator spoils it
Good story although I feel like I’m waiting for something more to happen, maybe the next book will go more in-depth and it’s just a slow build? The male narrator is hard to follow - very monotone, definitely think a different voice would have helped with the pace. Having said that I will be going on to the next book.

Wonderful story
This story is not the usual werewolf story and it keeps you hooked as it is so well written, every word flows and the dialogue is off the chain!!! the narrator read the book so well and kept me engaged. Love the accebts. definitely worth a read.

was good
not the best book in the world, but for listen while pottering about while cleaning the house is was good. something you don't need to think about to follow along to. I found the ending odd though, it wasn't like an ending. no cliff hanger no end to the story. it was like it ended half way through a book. The second audible book isn't avaliable either, so it'll be one that I probably just forget about long term. I enjoyed it generally though. and by then very end of the book, you'll understand why she's so weak willed. narrators were good, especially the female. but both made the book more enjoyable.
