Summary
The city has become a warzone. Charlie and her companions must survive the gangs and corrupt government agents that are out to stake their claims on the nation’s riches. Should she try and flee to the countryside, with each neighborhood a potential trap and every house a threat? Or should she stay and fight the building tyranny?
Dwindling food supplies and the daily risk of capture are taking their toll. Mistakes are fatal, and the exhaustion that comes with living under constant danger is wearing them down.
Betrayal, pain, and death are the norm. Who can they turn to when everyone is the enemy? Charlie’s world is about to change, and decisions that she and the others make will lead to life or condemn them to a quick and merciless death.

Great read full of action and suspense
full of twists and turns and suspense with no bits to bore you which I liked. Great characters l, great plot and unfortunately very real and likely. Great book. Didn't give 5 stars cos couple of silly errors. like a t one point one character refers tonuimseof in first person which is an error as first person is only Charlie. and book seems to he mainly about other who are more interesting than main cahactoer so don't know why it's called Charlie's Requiem when she is more of a background character but hey they you are. and don't like how Horhay was a strong leader in the start but then rolls over and becomes a mouse in th3le second which is just wierd. why would he suddenly take instructions of a non military girl? He was strong and independent and full of leadership. note knew his own mind and was far more aware of tactics than the rest of them. a guy like that wouldn't step back and let some servillian girl take the lead. very odd that.
