Summary

He's back and better than ever.

James Ryker, a veteran intelligence agent now freelancer, working for the secretive Joint Intelligence Agency on an op-by-op basis, finds himself embroiled in a complicated mission that will test him to his limit.

When a simple surveillance mission goes awry and the key target is kidnapped in broad daylight in a busy London square, Ryker knows he has his work cut out.

Ryker is tasked with figuring out what went wrong. But when his good friend Sam Moreno disappears without a trace, the mission becomes more personal than he could have imagined.

Torn between toeing the government line and finding the answers he needs, Ryker realises there’s only one way to find those responsible and to punish them...his way.

James Ryker returns in Renegade.

another great book

Good storytelling, well narrated, lots of interesting characters, made me wonder how close to the truth it just might be.

The main twist doesn’t stand up

The story is good, the narration is good, although a bit slow in places, but the big twist just doesn’t stand up when you actually think about it. Nobody can be in two places at once, no matter how good they are

A great feast for action lovers!

The book was fast paced, with an action packed storyline. The narration was taut and kept me on tenterhooks.

When will men Stop Aways being the Lap dogs?

Bolshie women, clumsily heroic men, and not so much else, in the end.
Personally I'm always hoping the next prickly female character will get what's coming to her, and that blokes will stop laying their lives down for the type, giving them back the same disrespect, mockery and demands, that women give to men, these days.

A good «superhero» story

An entertaining read, although the characters - with the exception of Hahn - lack depth. In particular I found Ryker himself to be unrealistically «invincible» and skilled at basically everything. Also, the violence was too frequent and graphic for my liking. Still, the storyline is quite gripping and the narration excellent.

Just can't get into it

Not sure what it is with this book but I'm finding I'm having to rewind and relisten so much I still have no idea what's going on on. Wanted to love it but giving up half way through.
