Great stuff

Nice and easy to listen to, although don't be fooled, you shan't be speaking Italian in a few hours, it will take several listens.

I found version one better and although some of the phrases and words on version two seemed a bit pointless to me (just my opinion), this really has to be one of the best 'Learn Italian' audiobooks out there, and I have listened to a few in my time.

So, a recommended read, err, listen!

Good but rather brief

Gets straight to the point, with practical words and phrases useful for the traveller to Italy.

Toooo fast

I know the title says fast Italian but volume 2 is way faster compared to volume 1. They lost that nice rhythm which made stuff easier to learn trying to put in too much information i think. It’s still great but i found myself struggling to keep up and I already know French and Spanish.

A great way to learn more of the language

This makes an enjoyable alternative to listen and repeat mode of most language audios. I'll definitely be trying the next volume.

Great app

Great App but on Audiable you don't get the written grammar which is essential. Therefore I might get the App directly from Earworms.

Not for me

I felt a bit conned. I was fascinated by the concept, and I know I have a huge passive vocabulary in Italian, German, French from many years of singing classical music so the 'earworm' concept made real sense to me. However, this is brain phenomenon of a word sticking in your mind because it is attached to a tune is NOT what is happening here. All that this is, is a background track of rather annoying music -- like you here when you're on hold; repetitive, irritating, non-music (not a melody). On top of this are speakers saying one phrase or one unit alternating in Italian and English again and again. In other words - exactly like every other Italian course, but at a slower pace (you just hear the one word or word-pair ten times and nothing else). If you don't know a single word in Italian, I guess you would be able to order a coffee. But even so - get a cheaper course and play nicer music in the background! For me only a few minutes was like water torture, driving me mad. It also focuses on basic tourist Italian; and purely by parrot-style learning. I sampled volume 1 and 2, and from what I heard you won't get any real feeling for the language and how it works. You'll be able to repeat sentences you heard while gritting your teeth through the music.
