Summary

On a balmy evening in late March, Kata hosts a party on her husband's superyacht. Tables cover the massive deck, adorned with orchids, champagne bottles, name cards of famous people, while uniformed staff flank a red carpet on the landing dock. This night marks the attainment of something she's wanted for a long time: acceptance into the glittering world of high society. But some around Kata are full of resentment and closer to home than she could have ever imagined.

Narrated with delicious unreliability by an Englishwoman employed to tutor this family's precocious daughter, QUEEN K pulls back the curtain on the power plays within one extraordinary family, as world politics begin to encroach on their corrupt and fiercely defended haven.

“An enjoyably voyeuristic drama of ambition, exploitation and betrayal.”—The Bookseller, Pick of the Month

“Thrilling, revealing and disturbing… dazzling.”—Emma Stonex, author of The Lamplighters

Fabulous

I absolutely loved this book. Beautifully written, beautifully delivered and had me totally gripped from start to finish. The author completely transpirted me into the heart of this world and her ability to tell the story and paint the pictures is breathtaking. I loved it and would highly recommend it. Well done.

Loved this book.

Beautifully written and narrated. An intriguing and compelling look into the hidden dark side of a Russian Oligarch’s family. Loved the way the story unfolds through the eyes of the daughters tutor. Fabulous read, didn’t want it to end.

The narrator is fantastic and story is beautifully written!

I read an article and thought this book sounded intriguing. It was a great listen…… need a sequel! Was a bit gutted at the ending… be good to know 5yrs on what happens… the narrator is BRILLIANT! Beautifully written… it usually takes me forever to get through a book but I even found myself cleaning more in my kitchen as an escape to keep it on in my busy house!!

Disappointing

Started out well, but loses itself along with the way, and really quite tedious towards the end before fizzling out.

Awful - must be fake good reviews

Terrible - believe the one other bad review not the fake ones. No character development, badly written, so disappointing. Gave up, intend to return.
