Good companion on a weekend

I digested this book over a weekend. It’s a good and enriching listen. For those who are serious about learning the tricks and techniques of powerful speeches and converting presentations/proposals, I can recommend this book. You’ll be ready for your speaking engagement in no time. Keeping this handy to refresh my mind with really motivating thoughts before I take on the stage.

Helpful as I get more speaking invitations

I got good results from my experience speaking in public. I get more confident as I continue to take efforts in delivering good speeches that people love. I’ve read the reviews and I agree. This book has opened a lot of opportunities for me to collect more experience in this field, and therefore hone my public speaking skills more. The more you practice, the more often you can say to yourself, “Gerard was right”. Indeed, my favorite book in self-improvement.

No quick schemes

Building your public speaking career takes time and effort. This book is honest about that. No promises of quick tricks and schemes. There is no magical way through it. Building your skills in public speaking really must start from a strong foundation of knowledge, supported by real experience and discoveries you have to see on your own to fully understand. This audiobook is a great guide to embarking in in-depth learning from the most basic and fundamental concepts to integrating fully into a real usable skill in today’s world.

Oh dear

Couldn’t get past the swear word and nasty loud belch in Chapter One which should have been edited out.

Pity, as it sounded like an interesting book.
