About this listen
Pimsleur® equals success. Just one 30-minute lesson a day gets you speaking and understanding like no other program. Polish Phase 1, Units 11-15 build on material taught in prior units. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Polish.

Very clear instructions!
I wasn’t at all sure how this type of learning would work for me as I usually prefer visual prompts but, with the help of a dictionary and a notebook, I’ve been impressed at how easy it is to learn a complex language like Polish. Whilst still at the early stages, I can talk a little and understand quite a lot!

This method of language learning is helpful to get you started, but the rate of new vocabulary acquisition is painfully slow. I did this course some years ago and was unable to hold a conversation at the end. I promptly forgot most of it. This time I am combining it with other language learning methods and using Pimsleur as a "top up" to the other methods.
