Summary

Meet the six men of the Personal series.

In Making it Personal, Blake Davis, in-the-closet CEO of Trinity Publishing, celebrates his 30th birthday by hiring an escort - only to have him turn up the next day to be interviewed as Blake’s PA. It’s about to get a lot hotter in Blake’s office....

Personal Changes is the story of Rick, who decides he’s had enough of being casual - he’s looking for love - and he finds it in the shape of Angelo. Unfortunately, Angelo’s traditional Italian family isn’t too happy to learn he’s gay.

In More than Personal, it’s Will’s birthday and Blake has something special planned. However, their surrogate has news that might change all that.

In Personal Secrets, Blake’s office manager, Ed, a brash, loud Cockney bear, finally finds the person who completes him. The only thing he hadn’t anticipated was that it would be a guy...

In Strictly Personal, Colin plans a special Valentine’s Day weekend in Manchester, only things don’t go according to plan.

Personal Challenges sees all three couples facing up to difficult times. They’re going to need one another in the coming months.

Whole series - like it.

This narrator was new to me but overall enjoyed him voicing this story. I listened to it on speed 1. Some parts I felt a bit cringy: mainly the over the top climax scenes for some 'voices'. But he really did a good job in letting me to fly through this K.C. series. Set in the UK with these group of men their lives linked through friendships; every day scenes, ups and downs births, love and death. I recommend this box set if you like a long listen and gollow characters for a longer time.

Fantastic value

This is such good value, you get 4 amazing books in one with characters that have been well developed and are interesting. I enjoyed that each of the stories was so different from each other and the characters were too. This is a series that I will definitely be listening to again as the characters and their stories really seemed to come to life for me.

These books were definitely steamy but there was also a very strong storyline running through and this for me just made it that much more interesting. I enjoyed the narrator he has good pace and was able to create different voices for the different characters which makes it easier to follow

Wow over 30 hours of romance.

Personal complete series

❤️❤️❤️❤️. Overall
🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration
📚📚📚📚. Story
Read at 1.2 spread on Audible over 30 hours.

First book is Blake and Wills story, Blake was in the closet, running his father's business Trinity Publishing, but still under the watchful eye of his father. Blake uses an escort agency to keep his urges at bay and to make sure no one (his father) finds out he's gay. Then he meets Will. Blake is being blackmailed when someone finds out about Will, will Blake jepodise everything for a fling.

A new couple. Rick works for Blake at Trinity Publishing. Rick was known for sleeping around but suddenly he realises that he wants more. He meets someone and things aren't quite what they seem and he ends up hurt, then he meets Angelo, will he be his happy ever after. Lots of angst, attempted rape and a gay bashing.

We meet Will and Blake again, its Wills birthday, plus a new member to the family that we haven't met before, great excitement.

The next story is of office manager Ed. and Colin his rugby playing friend, but Colin has fancied Ed for a while. Will Ed, who's straight, see Colin as anything but a friend. We also keep updated with the comings and goings of Will and Blake.

We then follow the three couples over the years and their families, jobs, deaths, weddings and children. Thier lives are all linked and well written, you feel like you personally know these people. A well written series and a joy to read/listen to.

So emotional

KC Wells did a marvellous job of evoking poignant as well as painful emotions culminating into joy. I welled up. I got cross. And I got cheery at the humour. Beautiful stories. Cornel was a great narrator, too.

I love the series, I love the complete audiobooks

The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Well, what to say...

I don't like it when the over the top villains are all female. I don't like publicly shaming misbehaving people. I don't like shallow characters. I don't like novels without drama or romance, although this one is marketed as romance. And this narrator really has to find inspiration somewhere when he is asked again to perform sex talk.
