Summary
A world destroyed. An axe to grind. A path to infinite power. Welcome to my reality.
When the cultivators came to Earth, they destroyed our entire civilization in a matter of hours. Armies fell, cities burned, and that was before the moon turned red and filled our world with monsters.
Now, over a decade later, what's left of humanity slaves under the heels of our Qi-infused masters. The luckiest of us might even become one of them, they say—if we serve the Dynasty well enough and harness the power of Qi.
But I want none of that.
I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine. Maybe that's why she found me: the fearsome, angry goddess who showed me a different path. Apparently, Qi is not the only route to power.
Now I'll fight to take back my planet, to grow strong enough to beat the cultivators at their own game. Through the power of blood, rage, and pain, I will free humanity or die trying.
For that's the Path of a Berserker.
Path of the Berserker is a progression fantasy novel that contains immortal cultivators, an oppressive intergalactic dynasty, rage-inducing imperial bureaucracy, magical spirit beasts, fantastical martial arts, and one pissed-off MC who's sick of it all. Fans of Western-style cultivation fantasy, post-apocalypse, and xianxia should enjoy.

Both bad and god tier narration, with a good story
First of all, I have too much to say, and very little space, but lemme try
I Actually returned this book once, nuking my returns to oblivion and then picked it up again, out of sheer desperation to listen to something.
First, The narration. It's both pathetically bad, and really good. I'd say this guy as acquired taste like beer, and at first it's going to be really, really really bad. It's like he clenches his jaw or something. Other narrators emotional scale goes from 1-10, this guys go from 1-2. However, it's not an integer, but fractional number (float if you will), and there's no decimal cutoff. Once you get used to it, it's easily S tier narration. Not quite Travis Baldree, but it is really good.
The story:
I personally never really like cultivation stories, and the concept of saving face is lost on me. Well not really it was explained but I still don't like it, with it's fake sincerity. And IT IS a cultivation story. Despite me generally relly-really NOT liking those, this one is really good. Maybe I'm getting used to them.
Overall, I *WOULD* recommend this.
Narration is 3* because the narrator is an acquired taste
Story is 4* because if personally dislike concepts it shows.
Overall 5* because this audiobook is really more than the sum of it's part.

Cathartic!
I was not expecting this book to hook me like it did, the narrator went above and beyond with his aggressive reading of the battles and my goodness the battle.
yes like a different reviewer said it takes it time to get the MC to have his retribution but it the build up, he is given small victories to keep you invested till you reach the finale. Absolutely glorious.

The progression was really fun
Overall I loved this audiobook the story really balanced the emotional scenes from the funny and interesting scenes and it made it a really great listen. The one thing that got a little annoying was the accents for the Yi people it was hard to differentiate between whether it was a man or woman character but it was really good in some places so it’s only a nitpick really. 8.5/10
