Summary

In the 1970s a new genre of comic superhero was born: Judge Dredd. He immediately captured the imagination of millions. Hard-hitting and satirical, futuristic and violent, the infamous hero has even been turned into a major motion picture starring Sylvester Stallone.

The man behind the amazing success was Pat Mills, the English writer behind Action and Battle Picture Weekly.

Together with John Wagner, the character of Judge Dredd was developed and improved as time went by and is still very much alive and successful to this day. We go deep with Pat Mills in this interview and listen to his story and his background. Where did the Judge come from? Pat Mills spills the beans.

A waste of time and money

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A decent interview with Pat about his products not this rubbish about David Ike

Would you ever listen to anything by Pat Mills again?

Definitely but this isn't Pats fault, its a rubbish TV program that he happened to be on

Would you be willing to try another one of Pat Mills and Nick Margerrison ’s performances?

Yes I'd love to hear more from Pat but not in this format

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger, sadness, disappointment? Yep :)

Any additional comments?

48 minutes of something blagged off of an old TV show repackaged as an audio product ? Come on Audible stop being lazy and greedy

A dissapointing listen.

If your a fan of 2000AD, Judge Dredd etc and want to hear the background behind the origin of these characters your not gonna get much of it from this audio book unfortunately..

This 50 minute audiobook seems to be taken from a tv interview from a programme called Esoteria.

Yes, it does feature an interview with Pat Mills but mentions to most of the 2000AD characters is lacking with a little explination except for a few mentions of the background to Slaine..

What you do get is an interview about Patdiscussing David Ike, UFO's and Fish people with a couple of strange adverts mixed in..

If you want to hear that sort of thing then this audiobooks ideal for you but if your wanting to hear how Dredd etc came about they barely get a mention..

Im very dissapointed in this really, I expected an in depth history of the comic origins though Pat Mills vision but it doesnt happen..
