About this listen
I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.
My twin brother is the definition of a lost soul. And it bothers me, sure...but I didn’t even know he was out of jail until a steamy older bounty hunter showed up at my workplace, looking for him.
And tackled me to the ground in his place.
Now I’m out of a job and gunning for my brother, and there’s only one person I know who can help me find him - the bounty hunter who got me in this situation to start with.
They say that the enemy of your enemy is your friend, but I’m not sure that teaming up with Neo feels all that friendly. He’s my opposite in every way - I’m younger, he’s older; I’m loud, and he’s the strong, silent type. I’m omega...and he’s all alpha.
The more I get to know Neo, the less I want to be his enemy. But we’re only together for one purpose: To catch my brother.
Right?

Packing Heat
I enjoyed this story overall. There's great banter between the main characters. I loved that Tucker has somewhat of a backbone. Neo, who was supposed to be some big bad bounty hunter was just a sweetie. I think I will continue on with the series in the future.
Narration: The narrator's voice was OK, very mellow. I wished there were more distinction between the character voices. I wasn't sure sometimes who was supposed to be speaking. I actually stopped listening around chapter 12 and just continued reading the book on my own.

Truly great story
I actually really enjoyed this audio book. It was the perfect length, without a lot of extra scenes that were unnecessary. It started as a case of mistaken identity, but I loved how we didn't have to wait for the relationship to blossom. I really enjoyed the narrator as well. This is one that I'd listen to again.

Nice
A sweet story with interesting characters. Narration is great, liked Christopher’s voice. Although it can stand alone, your interest in the other characters are ticked.

Excellent second series entry
I loved the first book in this series because the author did such a good job with characterization and this one is no different. I think the plot here is much stronger than in the first book as well, with its play on mistaken identities, the age difference trope, the enemies to lovers trope and in essence the forced proximity trope. Tucker and Neo, the young omega and older alpha are forced together by their desire to find Tucker's twin brother. Neo is a bounty hunter whose job is to bring him back after he skips his court date and Tucker wants to find him both to try to save him (a lifelong, unsuccessful effort) and punch him for costing him his job when Neo mistakes him for his twin and tries to arrest him at his job. These two are so adorable together as they snipe and snark through the mutual attraction they try unsuccessfully to resist. Just like the first book, this is a series where the alphas are strong but really gentle marshmallows inside and the omegas are independent but still long for home and family. I will always be ready to read any book in this series for a mood lifting HEA romance. The performance by Christopher Kauzlarich was excellent. All the character voices were easily distinguished (a tough job with all the male characters running around) and the emotional connections were right there to feel.

Connections keep us going
I love how this story doesn’t just focus on the relationship between the two MC’s, but on how the relationships between all the characters develop and grow from a mutual interest. I was laughing out loud throughout the story. Can’t wait for more in this series!
Another new to me narrator but I actually enjoyed this one. I like being brought out of my comfort zone to listening to other narrators.

Great alpha/omega romance. Modest angst.
I really enjoyed the story of Neo and Tucker. I loved Tucker and his mouthy, in-your-face attitude, and sweet, protective Neo. It was touching how Tucker wanted to help his twin go straight, even if he realized it probably wouldn't happen. He was idealistic and hopeful, but not blind. The secondary characters (Neo's extensive law enforcement clan and Tucker's assorted relations) were good, too, and added color to the story. I loved the origination of Tucker's nickname, and going axe-throwing for a first date? Priceless. It was very entertaining how both MC's family members took such joy in sharing their embarrassing stories. I have to admit, I didn't get the knitting group references, but I missed the first book, so maybe it was explained there. All in all, this is a great listen.
I enjoyed the narrator's voice, and I didn't have any trouble telling who was speaking. If you have concerns, listen to the Audible sample first.

Enjoyed it
It took me a while to get into this one. The narrator’s tone throughout never changed so at time’s, all the characters just blended into each other, as opposed to standing out.
Neo and Tucker - I loved how these two met. Neo, an older alpha, thinks he’s too old for Tucker but the latter didn’t agree.
Neo was a sweet, affectionate alpha and him knitting something for Tucker, made him that much more cuter.
Tucker was far from meek and I liked that about him. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind or stand up for others.
Great story, just wish there was an epilogue at the end.

Wonderful!
Austin Bates is one of my favorite authors, so of course this series was a must for me. I loved how the Knitting club is like glue that tied everyone together working as a emotional support group. Of course, the interesting plot, the amazing characters, some angst and danger, a lot of romance and hot scenes helped to round up a wonderful book. The voice acting and general performance of Mr Kauzlarich also complemented the ambience for the story. A very enjoyable reading!

Really enjoyed
I really enjoyed listening and getting to know more about Neo after meeting him in book 1. I find it fun listening to big burly alphas knitting. Tucker has some decisions to make.
