Summary

A deserted train station: A man waits. A woman watches.

Chris is ready to join his wife. He’s planned this moment for nearly a year. The date. The time. The train. But he hadn’t factored in Sarah.

So when Sarah walks onto the platform and sees a man swaying at the edge, she assumes he’s just had too much to drink. What she doesn’t expect is to stop a suicide.

As Sarah becomes obsessed with discovering the secrets that Chris is clearly hiding, he becomes obsessed with stopping her, protecting her.

But there are some secrets that are meant to stay buried....

Perfect for fans of Clare Mackintosh, BA Paris and Holly Seddon.

Enjoyed book BUT

Excellent story and narration BUT not suitable for everyone especially those suffering from depression, should come with a warning.

Good as a writer, not as a reader

I thought that it was a good story with some interesting twists. I just really didn't like the performance/pronunciation and particularly excessive use of the word "beautiful".

Hooked from start to finish

I haven’t read/listened to fiction in years. I was completely hooked from the start and couldn’t wait to get in my car to carry on listening.

I found it really gripping, almost addictive.

It’s written so well that I was able to really use my imagination to picture what was going on. The end gave me goose pimples.

I also have to say that Darren uses great skills with the different voices and emotions to make this even more enjoyable.

Gripping.

This is not a type of book I normally read but! Our little Secret, read by the Author Darren O'Sullivan got me hooked. My wife read it first and said I should give it go and I'm glad I did. I found myself sat in the van listening for just that bit longer, I needing to know what happened next. Well done Darren a great story and looking forward to the next.

Written and narrated by the author.

A good effort by the author who's narration brings life and believability to the story x

Poignant with a twist

Mental health and grief are a scary combination. TV drama in the making, for sure.

scarily thorough descriptive writing

This story travels straight like a safe train until a heavy weight is thrown in its path completely derailing it and scaring the hell out of the reader which pushes them into the depths of an unintentional murder, pact with the long dead victim to join them by suicide and hurting the only two people that cared for them as a cherry on the top....oh how I wanted a different ending to make them suffer for what they had done!
