About this listen

Enter Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series with this short story previously published in the Death's Excellent Vacation anthology.

Vampires Cat Crawford and her husband Bones's romantic vacation is interrupted when they're enlisted to guard a spoiled heiress with both human and undead hitmen on her tail. Things quickly go from bad to worse when details of their assignment make their way through the supernatural grapevine, and what started as a simple bodyguard job ends up being a fight for survival that neither Cat nor Bones saw coming.

Not worth the money

This was rather disappointing. The story is okay but a little boring, and the narration is okay as long as you ignore the really bad English accent. All in all it was a real let down and at only an hour and a quarter long it is not worth the money.

Terrible accent!

The story is fine and fits in with the usual Cat and Bones charactors. However, please please please don’t use this narrator again for Bones. The British accent is execrable and is really off putting.

Jeaniene Frost has penned another great story.

Another great novella from the vault of The Night Huntress series. I listened to the audiobook version and have to say that the generally undeniably talented Ms Ronconi needs to work on her English accent. This was more Australian sounding and if I did not know that Bones is English, then I would have had zero clue. Jeaniene Frost is such an incredible talent and this was just the tale to add to the compelling collection.
