After witnessing the murder-suicide of his parents as a child, Noah suffers from a form of PTSD that has left him without emotion, without a conscience, and without the ability to function as a normal human being.
With the help of childhood friends, he learns to watch others around him and mimic their behaviors, in order to conceal the fact that his mind operates more like a computer that he has spent years programming. That program is what allows Noah to pass himself off as normal, by establishing parameters of right and wrong that are completely inviolable to him.
As a young adult, Noah finds structure in the US Army and becomes an excellent and exemplary soldier, but when his self-imposed programming is put to the test by the murderous acts of his superior officer, Noah finds himself quickly made expendable, charged with crimes he did not commit, and facing the possibility of execution.
Without any reasonable hope for a reprieve, Noah's logic-based mind accepts his fate.
Sometimes, though, things are not all as they seem to be, and Noah is offered one chance to save himself. It was his disability, his lack of emotion, that made him the soldier he had become. Now, an ultra-secret organization known as E & E wants Noah's talents, offering him a chance to survive - as the most deadly assassin the world has ever known.

Goodish entertainment
Story is not so far-fetched as to be unbelievable but the accents were horrendous. Narrator really needs to up his game as the poor imitations actually spoil the story.

Good stories, enjoyable plots
Overall a great set of books though I was almost stopping when the narrator referred to MI6 as M-16…but they caught it and stopped thankfully.

bad accents and ridiculous dialogue
could have been some good stories here but the terrible dialogue between characters spoils it. Feels like the story and the talking was written by different people. Top that off with the bad narration and I was actually cringing at parts.

Oh dear…painful narration!
If you’ve ever heard a real British person speak, this narrator isn’t for you. Hearing my native English language being murdered was truly painful.
The novels themselves were possibly ok, if not very credible - but it was too hard to get past the dreadful narration to really assess them.

Predicable
Really too cliched for me. I got through most of the first book and gave up.

Really terrible narration!
I listen to a lot of books on audible and I can honestly say this was truly terrible. The story was poor but the performance was awful!

Not for the English market
Very shallow storyline characters unconvincing probably the worst books I’ve listened to, so bad it was humorous I had to finish them. I’d have been very disgruntled if they hadn’t been free! The narrator’s english accents where hilarious
