Summary
As a forensic genealogist, Willow Anderson is following in her late grandfather's footsteps in her quest for answers about a baby abducted from the hospital more than 20 years ago. The case may be cold, but things are about to heat up when someone makes an attempt on her life to keep her from discovering the truth.
Ex-FBI agent - and Willow's ex-flame - Austin McKade readily offers his help to protect the woman he never should have let get away. Together they'll follow where the clues lead them, even if it means Austin must face the past he's spent much of his life trying to forget. And even if it puts Willow's tender heart at risk.
In this fast-paced and emotional pause-resister, best-selling author Elizabeth Goddard keeps the stakes high, the romantic tension sparking, and the outcome uncertain until the very end.

MINUS 5 FOR NARRATION - Story not bad!
LISTENING to this Narrator was PAINFUL!!! If I weren't so stubborn I would have given up...but trying a new Author, Elizabeth Goddard, and I wanted to give her a chance...so I FINALLY made it all the way through...the characters and story were pretty good, though really hard to judge her on her merits when the "voice" of the story is so awful.
I'll give Elizabeth's audible books another go as ling as I NEVER have to listen to Jordana Oberman again!!!
I can see the second book in this series has CHANGED Narrators, so hoping I can just get engrossed in the story, as a good narrator will grab you and keep your interest...a bad one, and you spend time cringing at the performance and have to doggedly re-hear the storyline in your head to try to make sense of it.
Here's to your continued Success Elizabeth, and that you're Future Narrators give you a better "voice".

Story ok but didn’t like the narrator
The story was interesting if a bit confusing. The ending was unexpected as far as whodunnit.
For me it was spoilt by the narrator. She sounded aggressive.
