Rightfully political
Good introduction for children or the absolute beginner. Given the devastation that Europeans caused on the continent, it is correct to write history that presents native Americans as justified in defending their land and way of life in the face of invasion.

Horrific, Unsettling, Soul-Searching
I need another lifetime to sort this out, I'm a product of an entirely different perspective than presented in this work ( as are most US Americans). This book has deeply moved me! Only because I have a renewed thirst for more corroborating history did I give less than 5 stars.

Brief Historical Overview of Native American History
This book provides a fairly brief overview of Native American history as seen from their point of view. It is clearly weighted towards their point of view, which makes it interesting. However, at times it uses fairly emotional language to reinforce the point and that sometimes makes it too obviously biased.
It would have been nice if it had more description and documentation to support the genocide argument. It would make the point more convincing rather than merely shocking to the reader.
This is a good point of departure for an interest in Native American history and an understanding of their current problems in the US in the present day.

Interesting but one sided
Very good concise history and details of timeline events and peoples/nations.
Very simplistic - intelligent indigenous people could do no wrong , dumb settlers could do no right . Would prefer more nuance but good book overall

Very disapointed my only Audiable dud
Very disappointed in this title, apart from the narrator preaching the unquestioned greatness of Native Americans , I felt hectored and condemned for just listening. All I wanted was facts and to make my own mind up but this s a hugely political book and just not my thing on this subject. I will look elsewhere . A real waste of a credit.
