Summary
Journal number seven
Seven months have passed since Harrisburg, and many things have changed. The Illuminati have officially taken control; they have united the world's governments and military under the "United World Alliance". No longer do soldiers wear the flags of their nations, now adorned with the insignia of the United World Alliance, they swell the Illuminati's ranks. Most of the prison camps have been shut down, allowing citizens to return to their homes, schools, and jobs, but they are not free. The UWA patrol the streets of every city in America in a constant state of martial law; checkpoints have been set up at every major road and highway.
The only information disseminated to the public is that controlled by the Illuminati-run media. I have no doubt that it was always the Illuminati's intent to move the people back to the cities in order to get the economy flowing again, but I believe their timetable was accelerated due to the work of the rebels. During the last days of the camps, there were rumors of infighting within the military, as well as violent protests forcing the premature closing of some. Just before the official camp release, former president, now North American Ambassador Garrett made the transition into the UWA officially being among the first to transition America's military, this has been a grave error for the Illuminati. UWA soldiers have been shipped all over the world, and so while much of the American infrastructure remains, a large percentage of the troops are foreign fighters. The advantage they believe is that it is much easier for someone to kill those who are not their countrymen. Their mistake is that there is no gray anymore. We now have a clear enemy. Every day gunfire can be heard as patriots employ guerrilla tactics in an effort to push back against the fascist UWA.
Anthony, Darion, Alexia, Jason, and a few more make up my current unit. We have had to move our camp several times over the last few months as our objectives have changed. We still have a roving base camp to speak of, but our group is much smaller, only 30 or so at any time. My team and I have been slowly traveling across the region over the last few months looking for information. In doing so, we were able to find some of our family members. Both of Anthony's sisters are at the camp with their families. We were also able to find Hanesworth's daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. I went with Darion and Alexia to look for our mother and Jean; the house was empty but under surveillance. My hope is that Jean and my mother are living off the land somewhere in the Louisiana swamps, but in my heart, I know they have probably paid for my hubris. A few months ago, we received information that Jason’s parents were in a camp in Oklahoma; we made it to the camp, but it was too late. Just a few days prior, there was a riot at the camp, and many of the prisoners were killed. When we arrived, there were only a few guards left. After dealing with them, we stayed at the decrepit prison for two days while Jason looked through the piles of bodies. Eventually, Jason found what we all hoped he would not.
I haven’t written in this journal since she died, I don’t want to write in it now, but there needs to be a record. I am not the same person I was before. I failed her; because of me...she's dead...or maybe she's dead because God wanted to fill me with complete hate. The fire is spreading, but it is not enough. They have the world's armies under their control. So, our objective has changed. Now there is but one singular goal...we are going to find and kill the prince.
