About this listen
Quiet, cautious Pearl has always adored her bold, brash, bad big sister Jodie. When their parents get new jobs at a grand, fusty old boarding school, Melchester College, the girls have to move there – and when they arrive, things start to change. Jodie has always been the leader – but now it's Pearl who's making new friends. Jodie just seems to be getting into more and more trouble – arguing with Mum, scaring the little children, flirting with the gardener. She really doesn't fit in with the posh teenagers at the school.
Pearl begins to wonder if she needs Jodie as much as she used to. But when Firework Night comes around and a tragic event occurs, Pearl realises just how much Jodie means to her.

Very good but sad
It’s very good but it does have some very sad endings and also be careful when kids are around

Review
This book was one of jaquiline Wilson's sadder books but still enjoyable. I recommend this book for 10-14 year olds

Good but…
The story is good except for the end which is really really sad especially for young children I also think Jacqueline Wilson has a really annoying voice it's not her fault but it still ruins the story

Brilliant
This book is amazing. The ending is sad so I wouldn’t recommend to people under 10. I would recommend this book for about 10-15 maybe. It’s an excellent book and very well read and I would recommend.

If you are 10 or over I think you will really like it.but if you are under 10 I advise you don't get it because it is quite upsetting at the end. 💩

Sad ending SPOILERS
This book is really good but I would rate it for people above 10 because at the end Jodie falls from the tower and dies which can be traumatising for some people

WARNING TO PARENTS (Big spoiler)
This book is AMAZING but just one thing, at the end Jodie falls from the tower at her school and well.............died. This may be upsetting and make some children nervous about this. I advise you listen to this audio book before handing it over to your child. Some of the content can be quite depressing and scary to some children. Please make sure you are certain your ok for your child to listen to this. I think it’s ok for children over 10 to listen but 10 and under it’s up to you. Thanks lol x
