Summary
Manumitter
n. Someone who frees others from slavery or bondage.
Reid.
If being my wife was something galactic women could apply for, they’d happily die for the opportunity. I am a Lyran Metamorph god. I am the god of night. Shockingly, this human female only wants to return to Earth. I fear she will not pass the three challenges to become my wife. I must woo her and inspire her. This human must succeed. If she fails, we both die. Our destinies are intertwined. We must be victorious.
Is this human female strong enough to pass the Lyran challenges?
Libby.
I was abducted while walking home from work in Michigan. Sold and then sold again to a galactic zoo. Rescued by a Lyran Metamorph. My manumitter says I’m his wife, almost. He says if I return to Lyra Prime and marry him, he will set me free. The more I know of him, the more I fall in love with him, and the more I question my own reality. This seems too good to be true.
Is it possible to love an alien?
Note:
HEA. Stand-alone. Possible triggers: reference to rape, being kept in an alien zoo, or kept as an alien’s pet. Intimacy between the main characters is consensual, M/F.

Really good
I loved the hero alien in this book, he was very naive in human ways and made me giggle.
The story itself was well written it was interesting and engaging right from the beginning and I would highly recommend this book.
The lady narrator was quite nasally and sometimes her voice made me cringe (sorry to the lady) but the male’s voice was excellent I really enjoyed listening to him.

perfect couple
I loved the two main characters in this book, both innocent enough but daring and thoughtful. the storyline was straightforward with a few twists and turns that led to intrigue. I liked the lead up to and the ending giving me reasons to doubt what I thought I knew about the story. good narration, great story thank you

Space Opera with Some Hot Scenes
I usually prefer more romance-heavy science fiction stories, however, this was still great. Libby, a human woman, ballet dancer, was abducted from Earth kept in a zoo, then rescued by her alien manumitter. She suffers from PTSD which leads her to question whether her very handsome alien rescuer is really real throughout the book and part of Reid's struggle is to convince Libby that this all is very much real and she must get with the galactic program or she will die.
The narrators did a great job.
If you like the usual bodice rippers of scifi romance, this book is probably not for you. If you like space opera that gets up and personal, I can highly recommend this audiobook.
