Summary
A simple request opens up a savory mystery.
Hannah never imagined her high-school service project with the elderly would draw her into another mystery. Mrs. Tedesco, a lonely widow who loves to bake, has just one request - that the teen retrieve her cookbook from her old house. Easier said than done. The house has been ransacked and the coveted cookbook is nowhere to be found.
Eager to help the woman, Hannah and her sister, Tamar, are driven to locate the cookbook and uncover its secrets. But the teens aren’t the only ones seeking the cookbook’s hidden treasures, and the other side is playing for keeps.

Such a fun listen.
I just loved this, as per the blurb, it did remind me of old Nancy Drew updated. It was so innocent and fun but a great cozy listen. Obviously you have to suspend reality. The narration worked really well.
I was given a free copy by the author but this in no way impacted my review.

Nice story.
Another nice listen from Christa Nardy, This time Hannah and her sister get involved with the residents at an old peoples complex, little do they know that this will once again lead them into a mystery. The search for a missing cookbook takes them to dealing with the local police, the FBI and the D.E.A. Assisted by their father and a couple of very helpful police officers they eventually solve the mystery of the missing cookbook and a large amount of Mrs. Tedesco's missing money as well. The narration is excellent, Julie McCarthy sounding as if she is really enjoying reading the book to us. Highly recommended listen.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest and voluntary review.

A fun teen mystery
A fun teen mystery, very much in the Nancy Drew vein, Christa and Cassidy have written a book the whole family can enjoy, Hannah and Tamar are looking for Mrs Tedescos cookbook at her old home when they find it ransacked and the book missing. You need to suspend your belief a little over police procedures that they would be so deeply involved but otherwise just enjoy the story., Julie McCarthy is a good narrator but I found a couple of her voices a bit squeaky. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review

Good plot.
A suspenseful mystery with a good plot, appealing characters, and confounding twists. I liked Julie McCarthy’s narration.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
