Summary

When it seems that all is lost, and you have no hope, you need someone to look after your best interests. Be careful, misplaced loyalty can prove fatal.

Detective Patsy Hodge has left her old life behind to start a new job with Bristol CID. She attends a suspicious death with her new boss: straight-talking, no nonsense Detective Inspector John Meredith. Within days the body count begins to rise, as victims, old and new, are discovered to have died by lethal injection. Assisted suicide or euthanasia? Meredith calls it murder.

There is an attraction between the two detectives, who circle each other, but both Meredith and Hodge are carrying an enormous amount of emotional baggage, and soon their pasts threaten to overwhelm their future. As the investigation gathers pace, tension mounts within the team, and someone takes an unhealthy interest in Patsy, threatening her life, and she no longer knows who to trust.

Misplaced Loyalty is the first book in the Meredith & Hodge series. If you like great storytelling, surprising plot twists, and compelling characters, then you are ready to meet Meredith & Hodge. Get up your copy of Misplaced Loyalty today.

Great

It's good! I've listened to a few different styles of books on audible and this one I've managed to keep listening. The narrator is very easy to listen to. The chapter length is good too. Great storyline. Not too many characters to keep track of. I love Meredith! He's a charismatic nightmare! Patsy will need to watch herself!

More a love triangle than a detective mystery

I expected this to be a detective mystery but I was disappointed. Yes, there is a mystery somewhere in there but it is buried under hours and hours of romantic boring to-and-froing between the various police officers. I don't want romance in a detective book, I want a good mystery story. Narration was adequate if a bit fast, some words are jumbled.

Found this book very hard to stop listening to

This is the first MK Turner book I have listened to and it certainly won't be the last. The story was well written and the narration excellent - which made the characters come to life. Overall very enjoyable.

Misplaced Loyalty.

Having enjoyed the 2 other series's of books by Marcia Turner on Audible I was excited to listen to this one, her first book I believe and it does not disappoint. Meredith and Hodge are 2 very different detectives who hit it off when they team up with each other at Bristol CID in solving the mystery behind a number of seemingly related murders, but what is the link? Murder, assisted suicide? At almost 15 hours it is longer than my preferred length of book but this one could have gone on longer, it was that good. There are obviously many more relationships to be developed in future books in the series and I am looking forward to finding out what is in store for both of them. Lee Beddows narration is outstanding and really brings the whole story to life.

A really good mystery

A solid crime/mystery with a bit of romance.
There were a couple of twists at the end which made things very interesting although I did find the 'surprise' villain a cliche as this type of character is, more often than not, the culprit in the end.
The narration is excellent.
I liked the main characters and I look forward to listening to the rest of the series.

I Enjoyed

I enjoyed listening to Lee Beddow, I thought was great for this book.

I do enjoy a Who Done It and have to say so enjoyed this one. We have enjoyed the romance as well.
So a serial killer, who makes it look likes it look suicides, The bodies are building up. Great twists and turns and love in the mix.
Great characters and a great story.
