Simplify a complicated topic

I was a personal trainer and had a specialty in nutrition. I can't tell you how many times I was working with women whose doctor's had already been talking to them about doing things to help with bone health, density, and overall injury prevention. It took a lot of planning on how to communicate important concepts to my clients without over-using the advanced scientific terms. This book did a great job of truly making the language and topic accessible and allowing anyone looking to take more control over their own health to have the opportunity. It walks you through now only the "how" of improving bone health, but gives you enough of the "why" to actually make you want to do it. Well done.

Take the mystery and fear out of bone health!

For us well-seasoned women, this is a great book on how to know when you need a bone density test, how to understand the results, and what you can do to prevent further damage or possibly reverse the damage already caused. The author is very empathetic and provides the information in simplified terms instead of standard medical words that most don’t understand. Here is to good bone health.

educate yourself to recognize symptoms

From bone anatomy to preventative strategies this book provides details to minimize the risk of bone loss leading to osteoporosis for women at higher risk. It was interesting to learn how bones actually develop, grow, and repair. It covers many bone conditions along with healing strategies to maintain strong healthy bones. I learned so much, such as I wasn’t aware that diabetes, arthritis, and thyroid issues can lead to weaker bones. It encouraged me to exercise more regularly now that I understand ‘why’ exercise helps. Enjoy the many tasty recipes included.
