About this listen
Magdalene Nox doesn't cast wishes upon stars . . .
She simply makes them happen. But for this particular wish, she had waited for thirty years. Her retribution against those who discarded her three decades ago should be swift and simple.
Except a chance encounter and an unforgettable night turn her entire life upside down. Torn between vengeance and lust, Magdalene is forced to reevaluate everything.
Can the Home of Dragons and lonely math teacher Sam Threadneedle—who finds herself stranded amidst longing and fury—withstand the storm that is Magdalene Nox, or will any and all be consumed by the flames of revenge?
Not everything is as it seems, and as Magdalene returns to the place that left her wounded and lost all those years ago, she realizes that old oak and stone hide more than secrets and pain. They also hold forgiveness and love.
Contains mature themes.

What a story!
I enjoyed this so much it was difficult for me to leave it be. The characters pulled me in. I loved being part of this journey. Excellent writing from a wonderful Author.
Abby, I can't find any other voice/narrator, that is so capable of making each character so individual. You are so skilled in your craft and an absolute must in my book.

I'm a Milena McKay stan. Another incredible read!
Milena McKay is always good, and this book is no exception. Interesting to listen to the story from Magdalene’s point of view. Abby Craden is perfect. The voice for Nox is her sexiest voice yet! 🥵🔥
Thank Goddess for Milena McKay! 🖤❤️🏳️🌈

Another good one.
This series is one of my favourites. I enjoyed getting the story from Headmistress Nox's point of view and meeting her mother.
Beautifully narrated by AC.

Odd one this.......
Odd one this, and a unique concept. Two books in a series, the same story , told through eyes of both MC's. Sam the first and this the second by Magdalene.
Especially odd because it really is the same story so alot of repetition if you read/listened to book one, which got tedious !
The plus side to this book is that there is a final chapter which takes place three years after book one finished.
I liked book one and both MC's so I would probably of listened anyway even if I had know just how similar the books are ?
The narrator did a really good job.

NOX ROCKS. 😎💖
This is fantastic, I loved it. ❤
Magdalene Nox tells her story in a beautiful touching rollercoaster ride of emotions that is narrated by the amazing Abby Craden. This is captivating, beautiful and frightening all rolled together in a sensuous romance. Hatred, jealousy and betrayal all lurk in the shadows of the Dragons, a path Magdalene and Sam have to negotiate together. ❤

Characters
It was interesting seeing another side of the same story. Although there were a few times I wanted to skip ahead due to the repatriation.

awesome
this author is fantastic and the narrator is also amazing, such a good pairing.
if you've not read book one, it's a must and to have this to follow up was amazing.
I could listen to more of this as a series and be happy for a long while.
it's a story that I think of often, well after reading.

The same but different
I enjoyed this book, even though it was the same…but different.
It was clever how the story matched with Sam’s in the first book, whilst giving you more context.
I wasn’t as engrossed as I was by the first book as i already kind of knew what was going to happen already, but still glad I listened to it.
Abby Craden was amazing as always. And I’ll keep an eye out for any future books by this author.
