About this listen
What lies on the dark side of the moon could change the course of humanity forever.
When a Chinese rover discovers an alien technology on the dark side of the moon, it is up to Richard "Rock" Crandon and his NASA team of scientists and engineers to devise a way to return before the Chinese and Russians.
Forced to deal with bureaucratic oversight and a complex team of personalities, Rock Crandon pushes his team to their limits.
With pressure mounting, the world is pushed closer to conflict and war as the NASA team finds itself seriously behind in the newly initiated space race. The future of mankind, its ideological and technological advances are at stake, as the world's super powers race to discover what lies on the dark side of the moon.
Who will get there first, and at what cost?

Very good book, totally recommended
I love the idea of a signal coming from the moon and the big super powers fighting to get there first. Not many books kept me going from sart to end but this one is fantastic, thanks audible for the freebie.

Enjoyable but derivative story
Story borrows plot points from better sci-fi. Enjoyed but not a classic. Dodgy English accent.

B movie space tale
Stereotyped characters in a potentially much more interesting story. Okay as a distraction while I painted a wall.

Brilliant Story
for a book one this has been an eye opener. There are a few expectations regarding book two i just hope this president has not been set too high. The narrator brought this SiFi story too life. well done and thank you.

Ok, but stretches credibility at times
Difficult to provide a proper review without giving any of the plot away. Suffice to say it is an enjoyable romp, but with a few holes in the story that made it difficult to suspend belief at times. I am looking forward to books 2 and 3 though. Mark Boyett is as good as usual and his performance helps to carry the story over the bumpy patches.

In the near future the producer will be against the wall.
The story so good in a 2001 way. But why did the producer decide to keep in the near future day xx. It’s read out loud hundreds of times. Might make sense on paper. In the audio book just annoyed me.

A good story
If you're a fan of near-futuristic science fiction that centers around the space race, this book is a great choice. I particularly appreciated the vivid and detailed descriptions of each scene, which really brought the story to life
