About this listen
A Tahlia Vedra Audiobook
Rogue. Mercenary. Champion. Tahlia Vedra is all these things and more. But overcoming the new threat facing Hammerhal Aqsha will require more than just her battlefield experience.
LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
It’s a gripping tale where the legendary Tahlia Vedra must use all her skills to overcome a new threat. But what can she do against a Chaos Warlord and master strategist who can seemingly anticipate her every move?
THE STORY
When Chaos Warlord Mausolus Ebonpyre’s forces annihilate a well-defended citadel, Tahlia is thrown into the bloody arena of Sigmarite politics.
Surrounded by uncertain allies and hidden foes, Tahlia must forge common ground with old rivals, overcome betrayal from within, and learn the arts of diplomacy to face down Ebonpyre, a master schemer and strategist. To save Hammerhal from total war, Tahlia must become more than just a soldier – she must become a leader. She must become the Lioness of the Parch.

Jolly good
I have to admit I did not know much about the main character so it was as much an origin story for me as a current tale
Engaging and enjoyable
Great narration

A Great Novel and introduction for the named character of the Cities
Very decent and solid novel; if a bit by the numbers.
Otherwise, the pacing and voice acting was great and the flashbacks did a lot to break up the tone and tempo in an interesting and unforced way
I can only think of a single or so instance where I found it ‘cringe’ in terms of writing and tone. Otherwise great
Im convinced however that the author was getting paid every time they wrote ‘Throne Memoriam’

If you’re a cities/Tahlia fan you need this book!
I was a bit worried starting this book with an author ’ve never heard of and covering my fave faction as a few of the character books have been very bland.
Not this book.
Evan Dicken Smashed it.
Following Tahlia trying to get into politics, with a chaos lord near hammerhal plus delving into her past where she started and how she became the lioness.
Evan also Changing the lore slightly, but it enhances it tenfold.
10/10 and yes I’m biased.
