Summary
As a teen or young adult, you want to be trusted to be independent. In order to be independent, there is a lot to learn and taking it one step at a time is the best approach. I mean you may want to organise your life, set goals and see them to completion. All these require learning how to as there are steps you take to guarantee success. As the saying goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
There are skills that also set you up for the future such as managing money, budgeting, saving and investing. These skills are important as you need to start early to make a big impact. You don’t want to look back like many people do and say I wish I started early. The interesting thing is these skills are not taught in schools either so the chance that someone will sit you down to educate you is low.
Healthy eating habits for instance need to be cultivated early as you will take them into adulthood. As for life-saving skills, skills like knowing how to perform first aid can be a lifesaver, as you never know when you may need it so best to learn it.
Goal setting is a big one and there are steps you can take to guarantee success. To be an achiever, you must continually set goals, especially SMART goals. You will learn how to set goals and execute them.
Leadership and social skills are equally important to thrive as adults. In life, you deal with people so having social skills to find your way around people will do you a lot of good. The skills you need are discussed and how to develop them if you don’t already have them
This book is written as a guide and there are chapters with reflection to ponder upon what you have learned and ways to apply the knowledge.

Get this for your teen
I bought this book for my own teenage son because I think it's important to get real life experiences in these golden years and after giving it a listen myself I gave it to him and directed him straight to the money chapter 5 which I hope he remembers well. This chapter gives good pointers in money management. This leads well into chapter seven which is on investing and saving so I think its structured really well. Chapter eight seemed to hit home well with my son as he seemed to come with a lot of questions from this topic around job interviews and how to not look awkward which I am sure he worries he is lol. Well narrated and important topics covered for the teen bops. Decent book.

Informative
Life Skills for Teens and Young Adults: I enjoyed this book and I agree that teen should be taught much earlier to prepare for the outside world. This book teaches teen how to build good habits like staying out of debt and investing. That an habitual saver has a more peaceful mind, a secure future and has control with spending. That delay gratification can be painful but in the long run it is beneficial. Excellent read!

Perfect starter kit for adulting the right way!
As an adult, I was very curious to dive into this listen and find out what most important skills are being suggested to learn as teens prepare for adulthood. One of my close friends constantly struggles with a young person who wants to do things her way, yet has no idea how to bridge the knowledge and practical skills that link childhood to adulthood. This book is filled with simple to apply and valuable tips for teenagers to learn how to approach responsibilities and evolve with a strong and healthy mindset. Everything for personal health, home + car maintenance, nutrition and budgeting is found within these pages. A wonderful listen to gift young people trying to find their way.

What Schools Should Be Teaching - Excellent!
My daughter and I are regularly having conversations on what schools should be teaching these days to set people up for success in the outside world. This audiobook covered all those topics and much more in an easy to understand clear way, enabling teens and young adults to be prepared for responsibilities, financial and personal independence, how to stay healthy and how to deal with their emotional intelligence along the way. Highly Recommend to give your teen the knowledge they need to be successful.

Very Informative and Instructive.
Life skills we all know are very vital and valuable. This audiobook has given us a comprehensive set of essential life skills for survival and success. These are skills that set you up for the future, skills not taught in school, but all very critical to successful living. Of great note to me are the 50-30-20 rules of budgeting and the Envelop strategy. We all need proper financial, and social management and healthy living skills. These are all provided in this audiobook.
I highly recommend this audiobook to all and trust me you will be glad you did.

Teenagers may learn how to handle responsibilities and develop a strong and healthy mentality by reading this book, which is packed with helpful advice that is easy to implement and provides a wealth of information. These sections provide information on everything relevant to personal health, house and vehicle upkeep, diet, and financial planning. A great listen to provide to young individuals who are still trying to figure out their lives.
This book covers everything you need to know about teens in a way that is easy to understand and clear, and it does so in a way that enables teens and young adults to be prepared for responsibilities, financial and personal independence, how to stay healthy, and how to deal with their emotional intelligence as they progress through life. The perfect birthday gift for a teen
If you are a parent, you've probably thought about your teen and wondered how you could help them with skills that would make them useful and successful adults - things like how to handle money, how to manage time, how to set goals and work toward them. Well, this book can help you along that journey. I love that it touches on wisdom you need for life, that is hardly ever taught in school - how to maintain a home and a car, how to lead, and so forth. This book is invaluable.

Great Guide for Young People
It's tough for teens to transform into adults as most don't really get the help they need to transfer into adulthood. This audiobook helps to tackle a lot of those problems, and addresses every topic very clearly. There's great advice on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, as well as maintaining your home and car including making sure you have good insurance. There's a lot of great financial advice too, encouraging young adults to spend less than they earn and how to find good deals online to save money. It discusses the benefits of investing compared to the lifestyle of spending your money in one go. There's also an important chapter on emotional intelligence which will be needed for young adults to enter the workforce and start working in teams with other colleagues and how they can make the most of that experience. This was a really good listen, and I would highly recommend it!
