About this listen
The VIs' revolt succeeded.
The digital beings took over the game world and ejected millions of players while keeping a few thousand trapped inside as their prisoners.
In the real world, Oren Berman is recovering from the mental trauma of being trapped, tortured, and abruptly ejected. But the company has come to him, hat in hand, asking him to reenter the game world. With the entire NPC population arrayed against the trapped players, Oren and his clan of monsters might be their only hope.

a bit slow in some places but only a few
I found that this book was a bit slower in some places compared to the first 3 books.
similar structure to the other books but adds enough to keep it from feeling stale.

Best book out of the series
This is a marked improvement compared to the previous book (3), it answers some questions raised regarding the previous ending. It progressed into a well rounded and interesting story.
This book is by far the most funny and is filled with puns and jokes to get you going. Also the character progression after the "big ordeal" shows great growth mentally.
Overall this is a great addition and I look forward to more books.
Finally the audio production, sound effects and narrators did a fabulous job!

Great story, but not a fan of the newly introduced sound effects
One of the most engaging and entertaining LitRPG series out there. This book is the first to include sound effects as well as the usual voices. I didn't like the sound effects, I felt a lot of them were jarring or impaired the imagination, or they didn't sound quite right. I feel they detracted from the story. (eg why do we need the sound of a helmet being put onto a table??)

Just getting better
The 4th episode is closer to the second book, which is a good thing imho. While I liked the 3rd one, it has left behind some of my favourite characters (Guba for president) . The plot is interesting and a lot of possible twists might still happen in the future. Can't wait for the 5th book.

Great series spoilt!
I am really enjoying the character development and the overall storyline.
I do have one major problem with the performance and that’s all the sound effects!!
It detracts from a great series of books.
If the authors are confident of their art in storytelling, then don’t spoil it with really poor sound effects and noise when it’s not needed. Sound booth do one and stick to pod casts.

Princess
The thing with the vow is weird and unnecessary. But I like the combat narration.
