Summary
This box set includes all four books in the Life After series by USA Today best-selling author Julie Hall. That’s over 31 hours of action-packed, high-stakes, swoon-worthy fantasy adventure. Save money on this Amazon best-selling series by purchasing this special bundle deal!
Death is only the beginning.
I have a lot to learn when I wake up in the afterlife. Never mind that my memories have been erased, but being assigned as a demon hunter, um...yeah, I don’t think so. Physical activity and I aren’t on speaking terms.
Making my supernatural headache worse is my infuriating trainer, Logan. Sparks fly between us immediately - the kind created by our swords and personalities as we clash in and out of the training center.
Just when I think my life - or rather, afterlife - is all punch, stab, rinse, and repeat, I find myself the wielder of the most powerful sword in existence. Sure, it might be cool to ash demons with a single swipe of my weapon, but now Satan is gunning for me.
Logan is the only one I can turn to for help. But the guy has secrets. So until I figure out what they are, I might just be on my own.
My name is Audrey Lyons, and my afterlife is shaping up to be a hot mess and a half.

A-Maze-Ing!!!
I absolutely loved this story, it has everything! I laughed, cried, orrred and gasped in all the right places. I just loved Audrey's reactions towards others, it's so teenager and so funny. Logan is the hunky warrior with lots of baggage and the other hunters all have their own personalities that shine through so it's impossible not to like them all. This is definitely not one to miss. I actually read this series first and have read it a few times since so there was no way I wouldn't try the audiobook and I was amazed at what a great job Vanessa does with the characters and how she keep me wanting to listen more. Fantastic book by a fantastic author...it may be a young adult story but it's great for all ages (including me and I'm in my 40s) I definitely recommend this series!!!

Not my normal listen
I really enjoyed this book, listened as it is narrated by someone I enjoyed on another story. I enjoyed the story, a little predictable at times but well written and enjoyable.

The After Life with Angels & Demons
This was a great series and the spirituality got stronger with each book. Audrey wakes up dead, in the afterlife, with no memories of her past life and is immediately assigned to hunt demons. She believes God’s made a huge mistake, but everyone keeps telling her that he never does. When an ancient weapon with unique powers chooses her to be its wielder, all eyes are on her, including Satan’s. She has a rough journey ahead of her, makes some amazing friends, and discovers her purpose in life. This series is filled with so many emotions, action, darkness, hope, and revelations that drew me in from the start.
Adam and Vanessa did an amazing narration duet! Vanessa did the majority of the narration since the three main books are told in Audrey’s POV and I feel like she did a terrific job portray all of the emotions and being each character’s personality to life. I thought Adam was a perfect fit for Logan during the companion book told in Logan’s POV, but some of his female voices were a little hard to listen to.

Great story, different concept, beautiful
Liked all of it. Cried like crazy the last chapters....Would not mind a story about there life and return to the after life. And what about Kaitlyn and Morgan?

Missed the mark
I read and have enjoyed YA, the age of the heroine makes this almost NA and I've thoroughly enjoyed inspirational romances (those where the hero and heroine also become closer to god), I really enjoy paranormal.
But I really didn't enjoy this. I found it predictable: from the first moment it was clear what Logan and Audrey were to one another; the author seems to have tried to go for an 'enemies to lovers' kind of feel but missed the mark. I enjoyed the relationship between Audrey and Ramona and was pleased to find that her relationship to Kaitlin didn't turn as antagonistic as it could have.
The stakes didn't feel particularly high and when Ramona gives Audrey a talk about how kissing just isn't done because it's choosing your soul mate it made me really angry. I can appreciate Christian theology in a book - I've read it done fabulously - but pushing an ideology on the main character did not sit well with me at all. It made my inner feminist really, really angry.
I found it very difficult to connect with and get swept away in the story - I'm not sure if it was due to the way it was written or the way it was performed, but huge chunks of it sounded like someone was reading out a list of things that happened in the book.
I wanted to like it, but it's a DNF for me
