Summary
With strength, wit, rakish charm, and a talking sword named Hrym, Rodrick has all the makings of a classic hero - except for the conscience. One of the better Pathfinder books

Classic adventure with excellent humour
Would absolutely recommend. Frequently had me laughing out loud in the office, and the plot is punchy and well-paced.

Just a great adventure
I enjoy fantasy adventure books in general however I do believe I have gotten a little bit sick of the "Mary Sue" archetypes that litter them. This is a take on the "heroes on a quest" idea that doesn't in fact feature that many heroes. The fact that the hero of the story is in a thief only masquerading as a hero gives the story the feeling that it's going to be familiar but with a twist. Unfortunately I feel that fantasy books can easily get bogged down in its own lore and the pathfinder universe is quite thick with its own lore. This story however avoids getting stuck in an endless loop of names and towns that doesn't even matter and only really wants you to come along for the ride with the rogue and his magical sword.
