Every time I turn the corner towards home, I yearn for Ed to have returned. But he’s not coming back. The man I thought was my forever has been living a lie with me since the moment we met.

I’m sick of hearing his voicemail message. I’m even more sick of the unanswered texts. He’s left me completely in the dark and I can’t even give our kids an answer to their never-ending question, ‘When’s Daddy coming back?’

He’s also cut off my money.

It’s not as if I can talk to anyone about it. My friends are gossiping about me, the bills are mounting up, and the kids will lose their stability if the school fees and the mortgage aren’t paid. Well what can I say - I look forward to another audible book from Maria Frankland and this narrator is very good (I do find the narrator can make or break my enjoyment - so I am thankful for yet another brilliant choice).

I listened to this in two days as needed to know what happened and it was worth it.

The twists and turns - three did not expect.

It is very interesting how attitudes are changing and well done for putting a spot light on this.

So worth a listen! This story is told from the perspective of both the husband and wife, switching between them in short, snappy chapters that move briskly through the events of the story, giving all the details you need to feel for both sides. I loved it and couldn't find a fault with the writing, the story or the narration. I strongly recommend giving this story a try. Well worth it.

I really enjoyed listening to this. Very well written and the narrator was brilliant too. It was definitely one I couldn't stop listening to and would highly recommend this book and the author.

For some reason when it’s on the news a man name Russell Wilson was found dead in his hotel. For some reason this causes carols husband Ed to go off the rails. He starts drinking, sleeping at his office and all-around a different guy and as if he is a man with secrets. Only Carol has secrets of her own and before it’s over even the innocent will be touched by. I don’t want to give anything away as this book was so so good you will never ever guess the ending. I would be willing to bet $100 there’s no way you can guess the ending. I absolutely love this book and highly highly recommend it to those who love thrillers and mysteries. This is absolutely without a doubt the best book I have ever read.
