Built up blurb but a let down

The story kinda started off decent but went downhill
Quite predictable and cringed at sentences such as crumbled like a building in an earthquake
The idea behind it was ok but glad to have it finished

Disappointed

Really slow to get going and for me only picks up near the end. Once I started, had to persevere.

Slow burn

Once it got going was quite good but there were so many unanswered questions at the end. Didn’t realise it was part of a series. Not compelled to listen to the next one but would like a summary of what happened next to answer my questions…

Slower burn psychological suspense

Builds slowly, the narrators held my interest during the build up. When the revelations arrive it really goes up another level. It’s a quick easy entertaining listen.
I didn’t realise that it’s a part of a series

Dan, Jim, Ben, and maybe a Matt in there

Really struggled with getting to know who was who! Such short one syllable names, it was hard at the beginning but I got there in the end. Suspect even if there was a Sebastian in there it would’ve been abbreviated to Seb. Was a good story but didn’t really grip me till a long way in

Great story but needed longer!!

The story had a long build up, but this wasn’t boring. It was needed so that you got to know the characters.
However, when it ended I was so disappointed! It needed about another 2 hours!!

This Book

As the title so prophetically advises, well, you know the rest!

This author had a beginning a middle and no end, so the author decided the easiest route to said problem was to go "rogue" and take the story to ridiculous.
