About this listen
From the best-selling author of The Year of Living Danishly: How to make big decisions, be more resilient, and change your life for good.
Having spent the last few years in Denmark uncovering the secrets of the happiest country in the world, Helen Russell knows it's time to move back to the UK. She thinks. Maybe. Or maybe that's a terrible idea. Like many of us, she suffers from chronic indecision and a fear of change. So she decides to give herself a year for an experiment: to overhaul every area of her life, learn how to embrace change and become a lean, mean decision-making machine.
From how to cope with changing work lives and evolving relationships to how we feel about our bodies, money and well-being, Helen investigates the benefits of new beginnings, the secrets of decisive people and what makes changes last - and uncovers the practical life lessons we can all use to thrive when change is afoot and inject some freshness and magic if it's not.

I love the book and Helen Russell's writing.
whilst the narrator was mostly good, I don't feel like she always captured the tone of the writing or expressed the words as Helen intended.

How to teach the stubborn British mindset about self improvement
An excellent, cant put down performance and narrative with exceptionally well placed humourous anecdotes that is aimed at a very British mindset of stubbornness when it comes to self improvement and self worth. Fantastic, entertaining, enlightening and enjoyable.

Totally Entertaining and Learn a lot!
This book came recommended to me on audible and I thought why not! I was surprised at how entertaining I found it and the masses of amounts of things I learnt. Very interesting. Also the way it is set up makes this long audio book actually feel very short! She breaks up the book in a good way! I'm a big fan !

100% Recommend
This was the first audiobook I ever listened to, and whilst it took me a fair while to finish it, it was well worth it. I loved every minute of it and after reading A Year of Living Danishly, I can confirm that Helen Russel is a truly talented writer! Listening to this was brilliant and has made a few very long journeys (24 hours each way to the top of Finland) and a couple of walks to Uni, so much easier and more enjoyable. I cannot wait to listen to my next downloaded audiobook :)

Loved it
Loved this book she’s very funny, great voice to listen to and the book is jam packed with info and how to apply her finding on growing, excepting yourself and making changes. Brilliant. Really a massive thank you hug to you Helen because as I’ve listened to you chat away, whilst running. Yeap you helped me realise I needed to go back to my running, which I’ve fallen in love with again, I’ve also used each chapter to change with you and thought sod it and just stepped out of my comfort zone and owned up to feeling lonely, reconnected to friends and family and got clearer on what I want in my life and made realistic plans and started acting on them to get me to where I want to be. Read this book is my advice xxxx
