Summary

This second book is an expansion of the story Lady Susan by Jane Austen, which is a fictional narrative crafted mostly from letters.

Lady Susan drops her daughter Frederica off at school, annoyed that she refuses to marry nobleman Sir James Martin, and arrives at Churchill, her brother-in-law's house. She is determined to erase her reputation as a heartless coquette and win them over, but her sister-in-law Catherine is unconvinced. She is further alarmed when her brother Reginald seems to be falling for her.
