Just for a few days.
Maggie and Walt Williams have themselves a cat, despite their own "no pets" ruling in the apartments. And Walt isn't happy about it, especially as Clarence seems to think that he should be in charge. But when Clarence unwittingly joins the team to help solve both a terrorist plot and murders, even Walt softens just a little.
As always with Robert Thornhill's excellent Lady Justice series, the book is funny, exciting, thought provoking - and interpreted by narrator, George Kuch, the perfect voice of Walt.
A series I cannot recommend too highly, and this one is a must for anyone who has ever shared their lives with a cat.

Perrrfect mix of humour and mystery
I loved this instalment to the Lady Justice series. I am an animal lover and owned a cat or should I say was owned by a cat so I especially enjoyed the introduction of Clarence the cat, it brought back a lot of memories as I found myself chuckling about the same antics my cat did, (how Walt don't know that cats and water don't mix I don't know, hehe.) The story also contained a number of other smaller cases as well, which were just as funny, you just got to love Bernice and John. How the series just better and better is a mystery to me but somehow it does and I would recommend this one.
Maggie is listing a house for a man who has just been murdered and the man's son wants Maggie and Walt to take care of it, including the dead man's cat. Rather than have the cat put down Maggie brakes the rules and takes the cat home. The problems is the cat is special and the killers believe the cat will lead them to some stolen money and set about kidnapping the cat. The cat is luckily rescued and finds a forever home with an ex CIA agent only to play a big part in taking down some terrorists.
George kuch is once again excellent at playing Walt and his friends.
