About this listen

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Knife Edge by Malorie Blackman.

No one could begin to guess at the depth of the hatred I held for Sephy Hadley. Everything began with her and my brother. And that's how it would end.

Where there has been love, now there is hate.

Two families have been shattered by the divided and violent society they live in.

Sephy Hadley - a Cross, supposedly powerful and privileged - has bound herself forever to her nought lover Callum McGregor's family.

But Jude McGregor blames Sephy for all the tragedies his family has suffered. And he is determined to force her to take sides and destroy her life...just like she destroyed his....

Voted as one of the UK's best-loved books, Malorie Blackman's Noughts & Crosses series is a seminal piece of YA fiction - a true modern classic.

Incredibly gripping - Malorie Blackman doesn't like happy endings!

Jude is a scum bag! I really grew to detest him. Everything seems so messed up- more than it was in book 1! Not sure if I want to read or listen to book 3. There's not many characters left to like! Poor Mrs McGregor has been dealt an unfortunate hand in life: as if things weren't bad enough!

great follow up to a great original,

loved the first book and this whilst not quite as good was a suitable sequal.

glad to see the voice actors have changed as the first were unbareable.

Very different from the printed text

The script is very different from the book version, so it doesn't sync with Kindle. The omissions don't make much sense. The performances are fine but take a little getting used to.

Loved it. Reminder of how good the book is and I couldn't put it down.

Powerful story that finishes on a cliffhanger

Spoiler alert: Actually, I preferred this story to the first book Noughts and Crosses. I have read the third book and I hope Jude gets his comeuppance.

the blurb of this novel is inaccurate.

I enjoyed the book.

The plot continues to capture the reader's attention but I felt misled by the summary. There is no mention of Callie 15years in the future and this particular book does not extend to exploring the future danger alluded to in the summary.

I am looking forward to finding out what happens next though.

Great sequel

After listening to noughts and crosses, I was keen to listen to Knife edge. I did enjoy it, and it is clever how it reverses stereotypes by applying a slant on opinions and sayings.
I don't think the story is as strong as noughts and crosses, but I will still listen to the third instalment.
I really liked the narration on both books so far.

Performance was absolutely amazing

Honestly i believe the plot if knife edge is quite messy and a little hard to follow at the start. The performance is always really good in this series which i love.

KE

It was cool but sometimes the acting was terrible and drony. The story is good but if not got others in series, do not get this one.
