Summary
A Second Chance Becomes Trouble
After leaving his cheating ex and New York City behind, Mackenzie Byrnes wants to celebrate his new life and new teaching position in New Gothenburg. The closer Travis gets to Mackenzie, the sloppier he becomes. When his half-truths begin to catch up with him, all hell breaks loose with the Kings of Men MC, and Mackenzie finds out Travis isn’t who he said he was. With Travis’s lies exposed, a cop hot on his trail, and his brother in jail - he’s sure he’ll lose Mackenzie as well - but he might be surprised by the strength a certain kindergarten teacher possesses.

Interesting New World
Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory continue to build their world of New Gothenberg in King's Eyes. The second novel in The Kings of Men MC series, you can read this as a standalone. Characters from other stories are in the periphery and don't play an essential role in this story.
I've read several stories in the New Gothenberg world now and I like where Brightly and Gregory are going with this. It's an interesting place, the characters are complex and I'm enjoying the relationships.
Audio performed by Kaeomakana Tiwanak, I think this narrator's voice works better for softer characters. Mr. Tiwanak does a good job with the swift pace of these novels.

good
this isnt my favorite narrator but they didnt do bad with this story.. it was a fun and interesting and fast paced story.. good characters and it was interesting. i enjoyed it

as good as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
