Summary
A math teacher ready to give her heart. A plastic surgeon guarding his. Chance brought them together. Will a ghost from the past drive them apart?
Few things are more embarrassing than having your boyfriend storm off in the middle of dinner in full view of everyone at the restaurant. For Claire Riley, it’s just the latest in a long line of dating disasters. Her streak of loser boyfriends shows no sign of ending. The only part of the evening worth remembering was the guy who kindly offered to pay the bill. He turned a nightmare into something she might be able to laugh about one day. Too bad she’ll probably never see him again.
Liam Bishop hasn’t been on a date in ages, and it’s been at least that long since he’s wanted to. This state of affairs bothers his family and friends to the point where they feel driven to do something about it. Little do they know how useless it is. Liam has no intention of diving back into a world of self-doubt, regret, and heartbreak. He’s much better off single. Or so he thinks until the night fate throws someone across his path he can’t ignore.

Such a beautiful story!
Keeper of Her Heart was such a beautiful story! I loved everything about Liam and Claire's story: their meet-cute, the chemistry, their developing feelings for the other, getting to meet their friends (Theo, Jaclyn) and family (Blake and Meredith) and being teased by them, and yes, even the conflict between these two (I loved that he was the one to come clean and not her hearing it from someone else). Seriously, everything happened at the perfect pace, and I loved the community surrounding them, as well as learning more about their jobs, and getting to see them in action. I loved Liam as a doctor, but also his heart for helping as many as he could, be it through the aquarium project, or during his time abroad (eye-opening for sure). I also enjoyed reading about Claire's character growth throughout the book, especially concerning the insecurities regarding her appearance and worth. Her passion for her students and teaching math was fun to see, as well as seeing her dreams come true. The only thing that was a bit of a turn-off was the talk about fate and soulmates, but if that's not a problem for you, then you'll certainly enjoy this one.
Liz Krane was great as always, bringing everyone to life and giving each character a distinct voice so that one could identify them. Towards the end, there were a couple of times where the voices started to mix a bit in conversations (Claire with Liam's voice, etc), but other than that, I really enjoyed her performance and portrayal of both male and female characters, as well as their different emotions.
Overall, a beautiful Sweet Romance, perfect for fans of the genre, the author, and/or the series. I seriously can't wait to start the next one. ~ 4.75 stars
