Delightful characters
I loved these three books. The protagonist, Katerina Carter is an extremely likable character, and her uncle Harry is a hoot. Her boyfriend, Jace is a reporter and makes a nice addition to the cast. Each book starts with a suspenseful situation leading up to the crime and introduces our characters into the story. Katerina isn’t a detective per se, but she’s still an investigator and gets the job done, along with getting herself into some tense situations. The story moves at a steady clip and is not bogged down with useless scenes. The story lines are both interesting and unique. The narrator is great. She has a pleasant voice and easily identifies changes in characters. The editing is professional and clear.

fast paced - massive amount of content
I love the fact that all 3 books are contained within this set making such a large amount of reading content - in fact over a whopping 26 hours . The books are full of suspense from the offset and very fast paced with a great amount of action. There is an excellent plot and although this is completely different to the genres I usually enjoy - I thoroughly reveled in the storyline.Such a captivating series. I was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review

Hooked on trio
I listed to a Katerina Carter and her often very long weekends.
She finds herself in some odd situations, and with Jase and uncle Harry in tow they always find a way through.
Loved the series can’t wait to read more. Highly recommend x

I can’t believe I finished these
I am a voracious audiobook listener. This is the only reason that I can figure out as an excuse for finishing this boxset.
First, a positive, the reader is pitch perfect for the story.
I found these books deeply frustrating because they portrayed the main character as a cross between an intelligent accountant and a ten year old child, with apologies to most ten year olds. There were so many shades of Enid Blyton, that I really had to check if I was listening to a children’s book. The main character exhibits persistent bouts of naive thinking, followed on by utterly idiotic actions. For instance, the last book had her exploring caves, alone, without a torch. In her interactions with arch criminals and murderers, the thought proses are laughably simplistic and innocent. Even the villains are painted as frequently behaving honourably or stilted, with an “It’s a fair cop” being the predominant theme.
I genuinely am amazed that these books passed through to publication.
Obviously not everyone feels this way, so good luck to the author. I do not think our paths will cross again.

A good trilogy
Each book got better than the one before it, enjoyable to the end. I would definitely give this author another listen to. I especially loved hearing more about uncle Harry.
