About this listen
From the wonderfully romantic and creative pen of Debra Mullins, here is an exciting and sensuous tale about two people who overcome a dark past to find an everlasting love.
The groom: Rogan Hunt has no need for a wife. After a stint in prison, he is only concerned with rebuilding the coffers of his estates. But then the Duke of Belvingham makes him an offer only a fool would refuse.
The bride: Lady Caroline Ware is horrified when her father arranges her marriage with a man said to have a wild temper and an even wilder reputation. But the Duke is dying, and Caroline has no choice but to agree.
The marriage: Caroline could not have imagined that her husband would be so tender, so warm, so sensual. Rogan was expecting a meek and timid wife, but instead Caroline is vibrant, charming, and passionate. Will this marriage turn into something they have secretly hoped it would be? Or will the real reason behind it finally come to light, destroying them both?

Really enjoyed Narration/Book
I felt as though I was watching rather than listening to this book, I enjoyed the story line and the way the narrator brought the characters to life.

Great story
I loved this story but at times the volume of the voices was so low I had difficulty hearing what was said. However the storyline was great. I would recommend this book

Mixed Feelings
The story had potential, but was somewhat lacking in a good plot. It was interesting in some areas, and a bit forced in others. There were a lot of "suddenly" events. e.g. suddenly they heard noise... a commotion ... a knock at the door. It seemed Debra Mullins was trying hard to keep the plot eventful, only slightly succeeding.
Rogan, the hero in the story's temper was immature, and Catherine, the heroine was a touch annoying - if you don't want to be treated like a child, then grow up!! I wasn't crazy about the buildup to the end as I thought it was a little coincidental. The way it ended was quite unnecessary and boring.
However, Mullins did a great job with charactisation, and she writes superbly.
As for the narrator, Jilly Bond, she was a shock to my system at first, and I wondered if I would be able to carry on listening. Nevertheless, perseverance paid off as, I felt, she added excitement to the story and brought life to the characters. She is a good reader and she helped me imagine and picture things better. I really do think she should be on stage. She's good with voices, but found it rather dfficult to be consistent, at times. Plus, she made Catherine sound even more annoying than her character already was. I didn't like how Bond's tone/volume dropped with Rogon at certain times. I found myself having to turn up the volume and go back a lot, so I could catch what he said. Not sure I would always like to hear her as a nnarrator.
Overall, I found 'Just One Touch' average, but certainly not a waste of my time.

Laborious
Slow and tedious. The sex was necessary to the plot but was overdone. The narrator was overly dramatic and her male voices too gruff.

Story was OK, performance wasn't great
Story was OK, but the performance was not great, the different voices were done badly and were distracting often the narator got the voice wrong for the following discription of the person's tone.
Story was full of holes and convenient happenings. Plot akes place over about a fortnight and people do not change their character that much in a fortnight even in fiction that's a stretch!

Finding love through support
Two characters needing help and patience in different ways. Struggled with the narration though, a bit too hysterical in places!

superb narration but the heroine totally immature
Jilly Bind gave life to an otherwise above-average story. In essence, I could not root for the heroine... >70% of the story was about her fears and demons which did not allow for me as a reader to relate to her or even give the other characters room to grow. Her sudden new gained confidence and trust in her husband came off as churlish, annoying and not worth wasting time listening to how she is now. the Ending though felt rushed even in the fantastical world of books.

A Gripping and entertaining story
Gripping from the very start. If you enjoy a good love story with an actual story amidst the detail sex scenes. This is the one for you. The narrator worked magic in depicting each character, bringing the plot to life.
