Summary

When uptight British bookshop owner Emily Bartlett goes to Las Vegas to get over a humiliating breakup, she's expecting to make a few mistakes. But when she meets Ruby Knight, a pessimistic American C-list TV actress with designs on a movie career, she makes a whopper. The pair get so incredibly drunk together that they end up getting accidentally married.

In the cold light of day, both women are shocked to find themselves wedded to a virtual stranger. But maybe it's not such a big mistake? Could Ruby's marriage to Emily help boost her profile and get her the biggest role of her life, earning Emily a big payday in the process? Only if they can make it seem like they're really in love. And only if they can navigate the treacherous LA movie scene without tripping themselves up and giving the game away. Or worse, getting carried away with their fake relationship...

But what if they do let themselves feel something? Could they fall in love? Or are they just married?

Contains mature themes.

Not a fan of the narration

The story was alright, I believe I had read it before on Prime Reading a few years ago, so thought I'd give the free audible audiobook a try. The narration was very distracting with the odd accents especially when the actresses were trying each other's accent.

just married

really enjoyed the storyline. it was unusual and not a classic love story. I struggled with the narration but I think that was more me than the narrators

Very enjoyable - 2nd listen still as good

I like Natasha West's books and this has the added bonus of a good audiobook to enhance on whispersyn.
Good performance by Rachael and Emily Beresford the English and American accents bring the story to life.

Nice story

This was a nice quick story and the hours flew by quickly. It was nice and lighthearted book, with likeable characters.

Terrible Narration.......

Terrible narration, it was so bad I cannot tell if the story was rubbish or overshadowed !
Now I've heard these narrators before and know they are better than this, maybe an accent/accents too far ?
