Enjoyable!

This was my first Audible by Tess Gerritsen. The narrator was animated and brought the characters to life.I very much enjoyed listening to the mystery surrounding the Tavistocks in Paris, and the setting for the location was descriptive. There was humour and romance as the story unfolded, amidst plenty of suspense as the characters were spied upon by the enemy and faced danger at every turn.I will definitely listen to Book 2 when available and would recommend this audible for easy listening.

How soppy and totally unbelievable the characters were.

7 hours and 6 minutes I’ll never get back. Narration was good. Story was strictly Mills & Boon. I’ll know better in future. I gave it overall 2 stars because of the narration. Otherwise, it would have been a 1 star.

Disappointed which is unusual for Tess Gerritsen books.

It read much like a mixture of Agatha Christie and Midsomer murders. Couldn’t really engage with it. Made it to the end … just. The narrator was good but the whole thing sounded a bit like a 1950 farce. Not for me.
