Summary
Kim Loraine’s Ignite is a steamy, forbidden, age-gap contemporary romance in the Ryker Ranch world featuring Ryker cousin, Travis Ryker.
She‘s everything I swore to stay away from. But I was never good at resisting temptation.
When I picked up my life and moved to California, I left my hometown, my past, and my heart back in Sunrise, Montana. I never wanted to look back. Didn’t want to look forward either. All I needed was the job to keep me going. Until Lark sparked something inside me.
But she’s nearly half my age, and I’m too much for her. Too broken. Too selfish to give her what she deserves.
Even though I know it’s wrong to want her, I can’t resist.
Every time we come together, our world catches fire.
It only takes one touch for us to ignite.

I really liked this one. I loved the little unexpected parts even going into this blind. It had just the right amount of drama.
The narration by: Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke were so good for their characters. I loved the Duet Narration as well.

Great lovestory narrated to perfection
I really enjoyed the story of Lark and Travis which is an age gap romance filled with love, steam and just has a really good backstory.
This was my first experience with duet narration and Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter were absolutly amazing. Jason is so perfect for this character and He bring such warmth and credibility to the story. I highly recommend this book ♥️

Brilliant
I wasn’t ready for Jason and his darlin’s
Stella Hunter was fantastic, and I think this is the first book I’ve done where she was the main narrator and not an ‘extra’ for lack of a better word.
No one prewarned me that there was going to be a bit of daddy kink in this book. Don’t get me wrong, I am here for it. Daddy Travis for the win!
I loved the storyline and how it all came together. I thought Kim handled the PTSD elements of the story sensitively.
One of the reasons I haven’t done the book until know is because it’s part of K. Bromberg’s World Series and I haven’t done any of the originals. However, I really wanted to listen to this book, and I’m glad I did. I don’t think I missed anything.
I loved the humour. I didn’t expect to laugh as much as I did. There were some scenes that I didn’t know if they were supposed to be funny or I just took them that way. I don’t know if they were internally done as innuendo but they had me howling. I loved that aspect and it worked well to balance out the heavier subjects.
I somehow missed the memo that Aaron Shedlock did a cameo, and of course, he narrates the Ryker’s Ranch series from Kim, and that was a nice surprise.
Jason and Stella together are chef’s kiss. Their voices complement each other well.

Ignite
I listened to the audiobook version of this book. Narration by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter with a cameo by Aaron Shedlock. This was a stand-alone and I had no prior knowledge of any of the characters and loved it, but others have mentioned other books about the Ryker Ranch.
This is wonderful all on its own but I now need to hear more about the other books . I was completely taken with Lark and Travis. I loved seeing how their relationship began and how it evolved throughout the book. These two were so meant for one another and I really didn’t see their age difference as a stumbling block. It was special right from the get go. And Lark’s relationship with her dad was heart warming.
Loved the horses. Loved that it involved a group of firefighters who adore Lark. Loved how two broken souls mend themselves when they realize that they want what’s best for one another.
Jason is amazing as Travis, he shows such emotion and strength. Travis was broken before he literally ran into Lark at the beginning of the book. Jason’s performance was perfection as a protective cowboy and a firefighter. Wowza what girl could resist all of that.
Stella’s performance as Lark was also heartfelt and emotional, even the cameos from Aaron were awesome. Kim really knows how to choose narrators who encapsulate the emotions and the characterization of her characters so much that I couldn’t put this book down. The narration really pulled me in, in a wonderfully emotional way.
Thank you Kim for the wonderful book and thank you Jason, Stella and Aaron for entertaining me fully. I definitely will listen to this book again and again in the future.
